Color is a feature in the Kirby series, introduced in Kirby's Adventure. It is generally used to differentiate players in multiplayer, but can also be used for personal preference.
Kirby's Adventure
When Kirby does not have a Copy Ability, he appears pink. When Kirby has a Copy Ability, he will usually appear a peach color. When Kirby has Freeze or Ice, he appears white with blue feet.
Kirby's Dream Course

In 2-Player Mode, Player 1 plays as Pink Kirby, while Player 2 plays as a Yellow Kirby, nicknamed Keeby. "Keeby" (キービィ Kībyi) is a portmanteau of the Japanese word for yellow, き/黄 (Ki); and Kirby, カービィ (Kābyi).
Kirby Super Star
Like Kirby's Adventure, Kirby's color sometimes changes based on what Copy Ability he has. When Kirby has a Copy Ability, he will usually appear a more saturated pink, giving him a darker appearance; Hammer further saturates Kirby. Mirror instead gives Kirby a less saturated pink, giving him a lighter appearance; Plasma further desaturates Kirby.
Kirby's Dream Land 3
Like Kirby's Adventure, Kirby's color changes to blue when possessing Ice, however, this only occurs when Kirby is actively using it and is without an Animal Friend.
Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards
Like Kirby's Dream Land 3, Kirby's color changes to blue when actively using Ice or the Ice Ice Power Combo.
Mini-Games
If multiple players use the same character, the earliest instance will be the default, and additional instances will be a different color. Unlike in Super Smash Bros. every Kirby has red blushes and the feet are simply a darker color of the body; the red color for Kirby is absent.

- Pink
- Red
- Orange

- Emerald
- Green
- Grape

Kirby's Return to Dream Land and Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe
