Dayeon

Kim Dayeon (김다연), known professionally as Dayeon, is a member of K-pop girl group Kep1er. She is a trainee under Jellyfish Entertainment. She ranked fourth in the finale of Girls Planet 999, making her a member of the final group.

Career

2018: Produce 48

In June 2018, Dayeon became a contestant on the girl group survival show Produce 48. She was eliminated during the airing of the fifth episode, placing 70th overall.

2021: Girls Planet 999

In July 2021, it was revealed that Dayeon would be participating in Girls Planet 999 as a member of K-Group. She performed a cover of "Pop/Stars" by K/DA for her evaluation performance, in which, she was unfortunately not chosen as a TOP9 candidate. Her initial rank was K01, and her first Planet Top 9 rank was P02.

On October 22, Dayeon finished in 4th place during the final episode with 885,286 points and 219,125 votes, thus becoming a member of the show's final group Kep1er.

On November 21, it was confirmed that Kep1er will be debuting in December 2021 with the release of the website Hello, Kep1er.

Personal Life

Family

Prior to debut, Dayeon lived with her parents. Her father owns a sushi restaurant in Seoul.

Education

Dayeon attended School of Performing Arts in the Department of Practical Dance. She graduated in 2022.
