Summary
Yano compliments Himari's lunches, and Yamada admires her ability to balance work and cooking, calling it a life goal. In a conversation about cooking, Himari expresses her love for it as a relaxing hobby. Yano encourages her to teach them someday. Honoka informs them about their upcoming cooking class where they will make hamburg steaks, shocking both Himari and Tenichi.
Later, in the library, Himari is overwhelmed with anxiety about the class, fearing she won't meet expectations as she has never cooked before. Tenichi reassures her that they still have time to prepare and offers to teach her the recipe at her house. Himari hesitates, unsure if it's appropriate for someone in his position, but he insists.
At Himari's house, they begin cooking with a basic recipe from a cookbook. Tenichi guides her through the steps, emphasizing the importance of chopping onions correctly. Himari struggles with the knife skills, feeling defeated and frustrated, especially when the onions cause her to cry. Despite her efforts, her hamburg steak turns out poorly compared to Tenichi's perfect one.
Feeling discouraged, Himari considers skipping the class altogether, believing it would be easier to avoid the situation. Tenichi points out that they may not even be in the same group, which worries her further. However, when she realizes her friends Yano and Yamada will be in her group, she decides not to skip after all.
The next day in class, her friends praise her cooking, and Himari admits she felt immense pressure to please them. Tenichi is relieved that she didn’t disappoint her friends. After class, Himari expresses her gratitude to Tenichi for his help, and in a sweet gesture, she prepares a homemade hamburg steak for him, showing her appreciation for his support.
