Tenichi Iemori

Tenichi Iemori (家 (いえ) 守 (もり) 殿 (てん) 一 (いち) , Iemori Tenichi) is the main male protagonist of Hima-Ten! series.

Tenichi works as a house cleaner to one day build the house of his dreams. He's the representative of his class.

Etymology

• His name Tenichi comes from the characters (殿 (てん) , ten) means "mansion/palace/lord" and (一 (いち) , ichi) means "one".
• Tenichi's surname Iemori comes from the characters (家 (いえ) , ie) means "family/home" and (守 (もり) , mori) means "protect/guard/defend".

Appearance

Tenichi is a tall person. He has short black hair and green eyes.

At school he usually wears his school uniform. When he cleans he usually wears an apron and a bandana on his head.

Personality

Tenichi is a responsible person because he is used to doing household chores. He takes his job seriously because he dreams of having his own house one day.

Background

Tenichi would start doing chores after his father was transferred for his job and he was the one who did the chores so Tenichi would take on the chores and start doing them, over time it became his job.^[1]

During the second year of junior school, Tenichi used to study with Honoka, whom he had a crush on. However, over time he stopped studying with her,^[2] until high school.

• Momio Iemori: Tenichi respects his mother a lot, because of that he usually does housework because of how busy his mother is with her job.

• Mikoto Iemori: Tenichi's younger sister usually helps her with her homework.

• Shuji Iemori: Tenichi's younger brother usually helps him with his homework.

Friends

• Honoka Kanai: Tenichi's old friend. The two were together in the second year of junior high and have not seen each other since. Tenichi is in love with her.

• Yokomizo: Tenichi's classmate and friend. They usually have lunch together.

• Himari Yoshino: A teenage model who owns her own company, due to her popularity, Tenichi is given the task of making sure she doesn't cause problems at school. Currently, Tenichi is Himari's employee, after convincing her that he takes his job seriously, he is in charge of cleaning her house, doing her chores and preparing her lunch. Although at the beginning, they had a boss-employee relationship, over time they have become closer and have come to consider themselves friends.

• Like his siblings, Tenichi's name contains the character for a number, in Tenichi's case it has the character 一 (いち) which means one, symbolizing that he is the oldest child of his family.
