Milly Ashford is a supporting character of the Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion franchise. She is the president of the Ashford Student Council and is the granddaughter of the Ashford Academy manager, Ruben K. Ashford. She later graduates and becomes a reporter.
She voiced by Sayaka Ohara in Japanese and by Julie Ann Taylor in English.
Appearance
She is an 18 year old girl with a slim body, blond hair, and denim blue pupils. For the majority of the series, her long hair stops at her shoulders. After graduating, she cuts her hair short, so it stops at her chin. In the second season of the series, she usually has her hair tied in a ponytail.
For majority of the series, she wears her Ashford school uniform. This uniform is daffodil yellow with gold buttons and lines, and has a green tie with the Ashford logo on it. After becoming a reporter, she is seen wearing a cyan vest and white dress.
Personality
Milly is a very lively person and likes to tease others, especially her friends. Despite this, she is actually kind-hearted and genuinely cares about others, especially Lelouch. She can also be very curious, as she would regroup the entire school just to out others' secrets.
She is aware that Lelouch is the prince of Britannia, as her and Lelouch's family know each other and her family is supporter of Lelouch's mother, but she never reveals this secret to anyone. From time to time, she lets show that she has feelings for Lelouch and desires to be with him; during such times, she is mischievously seductive. Despite her feelings for him, she is selfless to the point that she sets up an entire event just to make her friend Shirley confess her feelings to Lelouch, wanting above all that both of her friends will be happy.
While she acts flaky, she is rather perceptive and empathetic. Sometimes her playfulness is a coping mechanism, as when she forced to obey the obligations of her family. She was obedient to her family to an extent, but ultimately has the courage and willpower to choose her own path, even if they disown her. She was proven wise, as the collapse and restructuring of the nobility system made her family's plans redundant.
