Gwen 10 is an alternate version of Gwen who found the Omnitrix instead of Ben.
Appearance
In Original Series, she looks exactly the same as the Gwen from the main timeline at age of 10, except she briefly wore the Omnitrix on her left wrist.
In Omniverse, Gwen 10 looks exactly like her 11-year-old Prime Timeline counterpart, except that her shirt has a number 10 in the cat logo and wears the Omnitrix on her left wrist.
In Reboot, she resembles her classic version, with the difference that her Omnitrix has no buttons.
Personality
Gwen 10's personality is the same as her 10-year-old Prime Timeline counterpart. She tends to make sarcastic comments directed at the alternate Bens about some of their quirks or levels of intelligence while also being a very caring and courageous person who believes that family is the one thing that one should be able to count on above anything else.
Gwen 10 is usually analytic about situations and mysteries if and when there is time. However, she can be ready to charge into action head-first when the circumstances call for it or when her family seems to be threatened.
Gwen was much better with the Omnitrix because she has much more patience than Ben.
Unlike Ben, Gwen does not name her Omnitrix's alien forms.
Powers and Abilities
Gwen 10 possesses the Omnitrix, having been the one to discover it in her timeline. Through it, she can transform into various aliens and utilize their respective powers.
Weaknesses
Like the original Omnitrix in the Prime Timeline, Gwen 10's Omnitrix times out after a few minutes and needs time to recharge before it can be used again.
History
Ben 10
In the beginning of summer, Ben discovered he didn't have the Omnitrix and somehow traveled back in time. At the camp site where Ben had originally found the Omnitrix, he was shocked to find that Gwen had reached the crash site first and that the Omnitrix had latched on to her wrist. Ben was visibly annoyed but attempted to teach Gwen. However, he slowly realized that she had greater control over the aliens that he had at first. Gwen turned into Heatblast and was able to blast her name into the sky with flames, which Ben admitted took him a month to learn. Ben later turned her into Grey Matter and messed with her.
Gwen later defeated one of Vilgax's Mechadroid as Diamondhead just as Ben had. However, she used her knowledge of refraction to fight more effectively. At night, Gwen used Upgrade to upgrade her computer, Ripjaws to get lunch, and XRL8 to get clothes she forgot at home. The next day, she brought Ben to a bowling alley and played as Four Arms, scoring four strikes in four different lanes before being captured by Vilgax. Vilgax would try to remove the Omnitrix from her wrist, but he would be stopped by Ben and Max who saved her. The Omnitrix was removed from her wrist and attached itself to Max.
Omniverse
Gwen 10 and alternate good versions of Ben arrived in the No Watch timeline, courtesy of Professor Paradox, to defend No Watch Ben against the evil alternate versions of Bens who were trying to kill him. During the battle, as Wildvine, she fought against Albedo, transformed into the Ultimate Spidermonkey, until she and all alternate Bens were erased from space-time by Vilgax's Chronosapien time bomb.
After temporarily nullifying the Time Bomb's effects by rebooting the timestream, Paradox and No Watch Ben go to the point in Gwen's timeline where she used XLR8 to get clothes she forgot at home. After a brief fight as XLR8 with No Watch Ben as Wildmutt, she stopped and listened to what the two had to say about the battle and who they were, agreeing to join them in their mission to gather other good versions of Ben.
Upon entering Dimension 23, Gwen 10 (as Diamondhead) and No Watch Ben helped Ben 23 to fight off Eon. Next, she accompanied the good Bens and Professor Paradox to another timeline where Argit was the wielder of the Omnitrix, before No Watch Ben quickly decided not to recruit him. After that, the team went to an future to enlist the experienced Ben's help, where she was called "Dweeb" by all three Bens simultaneously after making a short, sarcastic remark about Ben 10,000's intelligence. Following that event, they traveled to the Prime Timeline to recruit Ben Prime himself. With all the good Bens gathered, Paradox proceeded to take them (except for No Watch Ben himself) to No Watch Ben's Timeline for the battle against the evil Bens that was witnessed in And Then There Were None.
After the battle and Omnitrix wielders' erasure had passed, Gwen 10 was brought back into existence when No Watch Ben used Clockwork to suck the Chronosapien Time Bomb's ripple back in, thus restoring the cosmos. Once the evil Bens were sent back to their own timelines, she (as Cannonbolt), along with the good Bens, defeated Vilgax.
Finally, after sharing a goodbye with No Watch Ben, Gwen 10 and the other Bens left with Paradox to be returned to their respective timelines.
Reboot
Gwen 10 was recruited at some unknown point in her timeline by Ben Tennyson of Dimension 27998.3 and Maximilian to fight Alien X. Gwen transformed into Ripjaws tries to fight Alien X head-on, but is briefly defeated, having her fall cushioned by Ultimate Alien Ben as Ampfibian and being protected by Omniverse Ben as Bloxx. The group is almost defeated by Alien X, which makes emes flee to a cave, but Ben eventually convinces everyone to fight Alien X at the time. As Ripjaws, Gwen is able to synchronize her powers with her counterparts and remove the alternate Omnitrix from Alien X's. After Alien X is defeated, Gwen states that she doesn't like her enemy being an evil adult Ben. While Maximilian takes Evil Ben elsewhere, Gwen thanks the others, stating that they couldn't have beaten Alien X without her. She is last seen being pushing Omniverse Ben into the portal before returning to her timeline.
Trivia
- In the episode Ben 10,000 Returns of Ben 10: Ultimate Alien, Professor Paradox referenced this Gwen's timeline as one of the alternate realities that exist while explaining how cross-time works to Ben, Gwen, and Kevin.
- Duncan Rouleau confirmed on his twitter that the three Gwens 10s in the franchise are the same.[1]
- This contradicts things slightly as Ben Prime's memory was inherited by her Ben and he found Gwen after she got the Omnitrix. When No Watch and Paradox recruited her, her Ben was asleep.
- Unlike the Prime Timeline's original Omnitrix, her Omnitrix had Cannonbolt, Wildvine and Goop as part of the original 10, while Ben Prime unlocked them separately.
- Gwen 10 is not an Anodite and she cannot transform into an Anodite using her Omnitrix.
- Her Ben didn't inherit the spark from Verdona, so he is powerless as No Watch Ben.
