James Jonah Jones, usually called Jimmy Jones, is a supporting character in Ben 10 franchise, appeared in the TV Shows; Ben 10: Ultimate Alien and Ben 10: Omniverse.
He can be considered the number 1 fan and biggest admirer of Ben Tennyson, who he admires a lot as his idol and runs a website where he posts all the photos of known aliens, including all those that Ben transforms into.
He is voiced by Scott Menville, who also voiced Robin, his Go counterpart and Red X in Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go!, Marlton Johnson in Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Danny Williams in My Little Pony G1 and Jake "Stretch" Armstrong in Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters.
History
Ben 10: Ultimate Alien
Jimmy's first appearance is in Fame, where Kevin discovers that he is the one who posts photos and videos of Ben transforming into various alien heroes to fight evil on a website. Jimmy then invites Ben thinking that he likes what he does, because he admires him a lot, and also to gain fame and money. However, this puts Ben in the glory, but also in the public's eyes. Jimmy regrets this and apologizes to Ben and his team, but they forgive him and discover that Jimmy is very intelligent and can be useful to them in certain cases, so they let him continue with his programming.
In Andreas' Fault, Ben asks Jimmy about the Forever Knights, and Jimmy finds the location of their castle. In Eye of the Beholder, Jimmy helps Ben with his romantic relationship with Julie.
In The Big Story, Jimmy plays the main protagonist role: he finds an alien spaceship and tries to photograph the supposed aliens without being seen, but discovers that there is an alien plant. Soon, Jimmy discovers that the plant wants to dominate the world. He searches for clues and tries to explain it to everyone, but no one believes them; especially after he sees Ben, Gwen and Kevin become very aggressive with him and talk to the plant. However, he discovers that they are actually plant copies of Ben, Gwen and Kevin and manages to defeat them and the plant with his peanut snack. His story has Ben and his friends who will try it.
In The Ultimate Enemy: Part 1, Jimmy is one of the many who are transformed into Esoterica by Diagon who then return to normal in the next episode, Esoterica by Diagon, The Ultimate Enemy: Part 2.
Ben 10: Omniverse
Jimmy's first appearance on the show is in Return to Forever, where he first watches a news report in his room about Will Harangue. He prints out the picture and immediately takes it to Harangue in exchange for the unedited version of the fight, but Harangue wants money instead. Jimmy doesn't agree, and so Harangue threatens him that he will call security. Jimmy asks the Undertown aliens about the photo, but they are terrified of the picture and say that they don't know anything about it. Jimmy is then chased by Sir Morton throughout Undertown, but is saved by Ben and Rook. Jimmy wants to help them stop the Forever Knights, but they refuse his help and put him in the Proto-TRUK. However, Ben and Rook are captured by the Forever Knights, but then Jimmy arrives crashing through the wall in the Proto-TRUK and saves them so they can defeat the Forever Knights. However, Chadwick has already activated the pulse generator, but Jimmy knocks him down with a wrench and then tells Ben to transform into Grey Matter, but Ben transforms into Juryrigg instead who manages to stop the generator, thus saving all the aliens in Undertown.
Jimmy appears in Cough It Up, when he records how Sunder destroys a store, but Ben arrives to stop him, thus exciting Jimmy who wanted to record the battle with his phone, but his phone was out of power and so he runs away. Ben is helped by Spanner, and Jimmy seeing this asks if he is a bounty hunter, to which Ben replies that he is only looking for pants. Jimmy later notices Kraab and follows him to the Black Hole, but he cannot enter there, as the Bouncer said. Jimmy soon discovers that there are bounty hunters looking for Argit and so he warns Ben and Rook. Rook wants to investigate, but Ben immediately wants to take action instead.
Later, Jimmy helps Ben, Rook and Argit hide in a warehouse abandoned by the Bounty Hunters. There Ben starts to get hungry, so Jimmy goes around looking for something to eat, but then Spanner brings them food and as Rook noted, Jimmy and Spanner have never been seen together. Jimmy returns and with Ben and Rook they go to the Black Hole, where Jimmy is told to stay out. Ben eventually manages to chase the hunters out of Undertown and Jimmy is very happy, as he knew Ben would make it. However, Ben was a little angry at Jimmy for disobeying them, but everything is fixed later.
In Fight at the Museum, Jimmy goes to the Bellwood Museum to see the alien artifacts. Subdora steals the Pumapunku Orb and Ben tells Jimmy to close all the exits, to which Jimmy obeys and then watches the fight between Ben and Subdora. Ben who still believes Jimmy is Spanner, tells him to help him, much to Jimmy's confusion. Spanner then appears, proving that he and Jimmy are not the same person.
Personality
Like all children, Jimmy is happy and carefree, but he is also very intelligent and has a strong intellect. He knows how to use and fix computers and technology. He has a vast knowledge of the internet and his blog, about aliens and mysteries and knows how to make himself useful and competent. Jimmy is very honest and does not like to tell lies, he can be optimistic and carefree very often.
He is extremely loyal and helpful towards his friends and most of the time he is very brave and is not afraid to face threats to protect his friends. He is the #1 fan of Ben Tennyson, which he ignores, and for him the most important thing of all is to like them, to look like them and to post everything about him on his blog. Jimmy admires Ben so much that he dresses like him.
Jimmy, however, is a bit too reckless and brash and sometimes does not think before he acts, which often gets him into trouble and gets certain people into trouble like Ben who exposed him to everyone, but Jimmy thought that this would make him praised by everyone. He also feels certain feelings of guilt and does everything to make amends.
