Godfrey is the supporting character and a major protagonist in the 2018 video game of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's zombies mode level in Dead of the Night. He was a Butler who works with Alistair Rhodes and met Scarlett Rhodes and Stanton Shaw. Suddenly, He was ambushed by The Order and was shot in the head and got resurrected and was forced to become a Member of The Order. He was now allied Gideon Jones, Christina Fowler and Jonathan Warwick to stop The High Priest of Chaos, The Order and the Zombies from crashing Alistair Rhodes Manor while finding and rescuing Alistair Rhodes from The Order while getting rid of Dark Godfrey.

He was portrayed by Charles Dance.

Biography

Godfrey has met Alistair Rhodes and offered him a position to work for him as a butler, and he complied. He began working as a butler at The Rhodes Manor and met Scarlett Rhodes and Stanton Shaw. Years later, One of The Order Members broke into The Rhodes Manor and killed Godfrey in the head with a revolver and resurrects him and became a forced member of The Order.

On 1912, Alistair invited Gideon Jones, Christina Fowler, Jonathan Warwick and hundreds of people to his mansion for a party. Suddenly, Alistair had been kidnapped by The Order and his butler Godfrey who has been brainwashed to be forced to become one of their ranks. The three would meet up with the butler named Godfrey on the balcony overlooking at the main hall, questioning him on where Alistair was. However, As The Members of The order activated The Danu Sentinel Artifact, while kidnapping Alistair, causing the guests to be turned into zombies. However, the four are able to evade being turned into zombies thanks to a ritual circle Godfrey had drawn prior to the arrival of three on the balcony. The four then arm up and fight against the undead. The four are able to complete the trial caused by The Sentinel Artifact after defeating The Shadow Werewolf in the nearby ruins, ending the infestation at the mansion. As the four return inside the mansion, the four then head to the smoking room, where he commented that they need to find the bar, having worked up a thirst from all the fighting and placed his revolver on the table before Warwick spots an apparition of another Sentinel Artifact in the next room, claiming to be The Odin Sentinel Artifact. While Christina questions what it meant, Godfrey, who was possessed by The Order and Dark Godfrey and was forced to obtain a blade from a wall, explains that it means that they are not worthy before decapitating Christina, Gideon attempts to defend himself by pulling out his pistol from his holster, only to realize that he left it in the previous room. Gideon was soon slashed across the stomach by Dark Godfrey, causing him to stumble backwards and knock into a candlestick candelabra, triggering a fire that caused the mansion to light ablaze shortly after Dark Godfrey killed Warwick while being forced by The Order and The High Priest of Chaos. Just Then, Godfrey is now swiftly shot in the heart by Scarlett, who demanded to know where her father was. Godfrey however told her that she was too late and that she could not stop what was to come before dying of his wounds.
