Goddard is one of the three deuteragonists (alongside Carl Wheezer and Sheen Estevez) of the Jimmy Neutron franchise.
He is Jimmy Neutron's robotic pet dog and he is said to do eleven million things. When Jimmy is in trouble, he sends out a distress call to Goddard, who is usually already in a fix. Goddard is equipped with a large variety of inventions within himself for Jimmy's use.
His vocal effects are provided by Frank Welker, who also voices Curious George in the animated franchise of the same name, Garfield Cat in the animated franchise of the same name, Scooby-Doo and Fred Jones in the Scooby-Doo franchise, Bronx in Gargoyles, Hu the Tiger in The Secret Life of Pets 2, and Zero in The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Appearance
Goddard is a robotic dog that has a silver metal body. He has a plasma globe cranium, filled with ionized noble gases in the form of plasma. He has a mechanical tongue and a yellow (or gold) snout. Goddard has two ears, which are made of metal. He also has a small pointy tail.
Personality
Goddard loves and is entirely loyal to his owner and creator, Jimmy. Additionally, he is tech-savvy and very useful when he is needed at any time. However, there are times when he has some standards in his loyalty toward his creator. While, at his worst, Jimmy will treat his friends like lab rats and his family as an afterthought, Goddard always brings out the best in him. He also acts as Jimmy's conscience, and always suggests doing the right thing when Jimmy asks him for options.
