Apolly Bay, real name Andy, is a former Zeon soldier serving as a member of the Anti-Earth Union Group and a hero in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam.
Personality
History
Alongside Ricardo Vega, Andy originally served in the Principality of Zeon military as a soldier under Char Aznable. After Zeon was defeated in the One Year War, Andy fled with Char and Roberto to Axis, where a large chunk of the rest of the Zeon remnants had also gathered. The three stayed there for a while until Haman Karn took power at Axis, at which point Char, fearing Haman's growing ambitions, left and was soon followed by Andy and Roberto.
After a while, the three joined up with the Anti-Earth Union Group to help combat the Earth Federation's corrupt task force Titans, who were oppressing Spacenoids and employing chemical weapons against the civilian populations of entire colonies. To conceal their identities, the three adopted aliases, with Andy taking on the name "Apolly Bay".
As an experienced veteran of the One Year War, Apolly's combat prowess led to him rising up the ranks of the AEUG, eventually being named head of its Rick Dias team. Apolly later delivered the finished Zeta Gundam to Kamille Bidan after it was constructed by Anaheim Electronics from the blueprints Kamille had devised.
Apolly later met his end when he was killed by Jerid Messa during the Battle of Gryps.
