Biography
Prior Life
Anson Clark was once close friends with Danny Sharp, son of LT and Will's half-brother when they were in college, and had always been suspicious of him due to having committed several robberies in the past since he followed his footsteps of his father, LT. He eventually got promoted into working with the FBI, being in charge with their bank robbery division.
Ambulance
Anson Clark is shown with his husband at a therapy session where he leaves when Captain Monroe calls him to assist in trying to arrest the Sharp Brothers due to a bank robbery they committed at LA Federal along with unexpectedly taking Zach and Cam hostage. As he leaves, he kisses his boyfriend.
Anson and his crew then arrive and meet up with Captain Monroe. He then explains to Monroe about Danny's past history and that he could've even killed Zach but didn't, and that he is looking for an easy way out since they were formerly friends in college.
While Cam tries to keep Zach alive with Danny's help, Monroe and Anson arrange for a team of SWAT snipers to take out both Will and Danny Sharp, believing that the cop is dead and the unaware the surgery was a success. He then contacts Cam to duck for cover due to the sniper team they've arranged, but tells Anson that Zach is still alive and tells Will to avoid the snipers, which they successfully do. In the midst of this, when Danny has enough of Cam, making him nearly kill her, this prompts both brothers to get into a scuffle. Anson is able to find out that Will is in fact, Danny's half-brother, and realized he was the weak one since he refuses to kill anyone including the cop despite having assisted Danny in a bank robbery so he can pay for his wife's surgeries. Upon realizing they are headed to Boyle Heights after the brothers outrun several cops in the process, Monroe and the LAPD arrange to block all four exits to prevent Danny from escaping. However, he soon realizes that Danny and his gang arranged decoy ambulances driven by Castro and Roberto to create a diversion so they can get to Papi. While Castro feigns refusing to surrender himself, Roberto is able to put a brick on the accelerator and blow up the ambulance, injuring several LAPD in the process. This results in an unmanned vehicle armed with a minigun controlled by Papi's men, to set up an ambush, much to Anson's shock as it kills and injures more officers, including Captain Monroe. Danny and Will successfully get to Papi's hideout, but demands Will and Danny to leave Zach and Cam to deal with; when Will refuses to cooperate, he teams up with Danny to kill Papi and his crew. This prompts the police to be alerted as both brothers try to escape once more. In the ensuing chaos, Cam accidentally shoots Will with Zach's gun. Danny takes the ambulance to the hospital while Cam tries to save Will's life, where the LAPD finally surround the ambulance. In the midst of this, as Anson tells Danny to surrender himself, Danny becomes enraged when he finds out that Cam shot his brother, despite confessing it was an accident. Danny then vows to kill her along with himself on live TV as Anson orders him to stand down. Danny then taunts Anson to back off the police and begins lying to him that Will is dead, and that he is finally "done" once the cops shoot him after killing Cam, and confesses that his brother didn't do anything wrong and just as he is about to emerge from the ambulance, Will, shoots Danny in the back, saving Cam's life and ensuring his injury was an accident. With the police putting both brothers in handcuffs, Anson assists Cam who tells him that she was nearly killed by him and Will heard their conversation, but refuses to let her reach him due to his recent alleged crimes. As Will's wife, Amy and her infant son arrive at the hospital, distraught about what happened, Anson tells Cam to forget him, but backs away from him as she tries to help Will and save his life. While Will and Zach are taken to the hospital to recover, Zach informed Anson that Will was able to save his life, implying that he may have a much lighter sentence.
