Biography

Officer Mark and his partner Zach, were driving back home until the former decided to go back to LA Federal since Zach had a crush on one of the bank tellers and wants to ask her out. Upon arrival, while Mark waited, Zach is taken hostage by Danny Sharp, who, while posing as the bank's supervisor, ordered him to play cool as his gang also held the bank tellers hostage so they can pull off their heist. Outside, Mark was able to help Randazzo, one of the gang members, when his truck stalls but is unaware of his true intentions. Realizing that his partner had been kidnapped, he ordered the rest of the crowd to leave just as Randazzo nearly rammed him over, destroying his car in the process. This resulted in a gunfight between Danny's goons and Mark, along with reinforcements called in by the LAPD. In the ensuing gunfight, he was able to wound one of the gang members, Mel Gibson, in the process as he told the dispatcher that he was going in to rescue his partner. While Danny and Will were able to escape, Mark is able to find Zach in the parking lot, who was accidentally shot by Will and left behind for dead, and was able to tend to his injured leg while calling in Cam Thompson and Scott for help, as well as ordering several LAPD officers to go after the Sharp Brothers. He then assists Cam in putting Zach on the stretcher to the ambulance, before Danny and Will steal it to escape. Realizing this, Mark sees Scott on the ground, who is able to give him the description of both the robbers, and orders the other LAPD officers that they hijacked a red and white ambulance and have taken Zach and Cam as hostages.

Following this, his arm was tended to a nearby paramedic and later got into a scuffle with Captain Monroe and two fellow SIS officers, Wade and Jay, and blaming them for the whole incident before being informed by Monroe that it will be his duty to rescue Zach since he has the best unit out there.

When Dzhaghig, an LAPD surveillance officer, spots Danny and Will driving the ambulance through Staples Center, the LAPD is mobilized, and Mark borrows one of the officers unmarked police cars, unknowingly putting Nitro, Monroe's dog, in the chase. As the units converged on the ambulance inside the LA Convention Center, Mark orders all the officers to block them in. In the ensuing chase, Danny threatened to throw off Cam as Mark told him to let her go. As he taunted him to back up, Danny was able to shoot his police car, causing Nitro to wake up and be put in danger. This angers Monroe, who ordered any officer who brought Nitro in a police chase, which Mark was able to respond on "who puts a big ass dog in a cop car", causing the police to fall back and retreat.

When Danny and Will have their gang use decoy ambulances to distract and create an ambush for the LAPD, Mark was one of the few officers involved. He was able to survive the explosion, albeit nearly injured. Seeing Roberto, Papi's son, being involved after using an ambulance to bomb and distract them, he is able to recover and chase him on foot and get into a scuffle with him, before forcing him to kill himself, angering Papi.

When Will was accidentally shot by Cam, she and Danny were able to drive to LA Memorial, were they are surrounded by the rest of the LAPD. Danny was able to find out that Cam was responsible for shooting Will, and threatened to kill her and himself on live TV as Anson ordered him to stand down. However, Will was able to kill Danny and save her life before allowing him to be captured by the LAPD. As Will lay wounded for his injuries, the police surround him, but Cam backs the police officers away and helps the injured Will. Mark tells Cam they'll get to him soon as he was taken to the hospital for recovery.
