Hera is the Olympian Goddess of Marriage and Queen of the Olympians. In Hades, she is only mentioned as one of the previous bearers of Coronacht.
She appears in Hades II and offers her boons to Melinoë. Her Status Curse is Hitch which makes foes take damage when other afflicted foes are attacked.
Hera will only appear once Melinoë has reached the surface.
Characteristics and Personality
The feared and elegant queen of the gods, Hera assists Melinoë in overthrowing Chronos primarily to act of good deeds and uphold her impeccable queenly image.
A woman who bathes in extravagance, she is a socialite and vain, wanting to maintain her social status. Hera seems to despise those beneath her, she looks with little animosity, and only helps Melinoe because she doesn't have many options.
Particularly discontent with her tiresome married life due to her husband's constant escapades, Hera maintains a cynical view. Despite her pride and irony, she never admits her dissatisfaction. She sarcastically refers to herself and her husband as "ideal models."
Known for her vengeful nature, Hera is not a loving stepmother, evident in her pursuit of Zeus's illegitimate children, like Heracles and his enduring trials. Her displays of wrath are flashy.
Despite her tumultuous marriage, Hera remains a faithful wife, committed to her husband. Their synchronized efforts, evident in mutual benefits, reflect their duo boon.
Living by appearances, Hera clearly favors Ares over Hephaestus. However, her sighs and interactions suggest regret, especially regarding the strained relationship with her son. She gradually develops affection for Melinoë, seeing her as the daughter she never had.
Physical description
Hera appears as an imposing and beautiful woman with a dark complexion. She has light bluish hair framing her face and part of it is held high by a golden helmet. A feathery mantle falls from her head, with tons of greens and blues. Her eyes are violet, she wears golden hoop earrings and her nails are dark blue. She wears a teal dress with green peacock feathers for a pattern with an opening that leaves her leg exposed, on top of it a golden breastplate, and around the breasts it resembles feathers. Her neck is covered in dark green fabric with a golden infinite loop on the centre, also resembling wedding rings; it's further held together and decorated with golden plates shaped like feathers on the side. Her shoulders are covered in the same material as her dress, however resembling a plummage even more. She wears golden bracelets on both her wrists and an armband on her right forearm. Finally, she carries a scepter, one of her symbols, itself shaped like two intercepted wedding rings, further decoarted with loose bluish green fabric on the top and a floating green orb on the bottom circle.
Background
Hera is the daughter of the titans Hyperion and Theia, and sister of Hestia, Demeter, Helios, Selene and Eos. Together with her older sisters, Hestia and Demeter, Hera joined Zeus' side and helped him defeat the Titans. During the war she wielded Coronacht. After the war, Hera married Zeus and together they became the rulers of Olympus and its residents. At some point, presumably after she married Zeus, she would discard her weapon as she had other more important things to focus on.
Coronacht later ended up in the possession of Zagreus, who could unlock her Aspect. Hera herself was not involved during the events of the first Hades.

Hera appears to Melinoë after she reaches the surface and lends Melinoë her boons.

As of Early Access, Hera's affinity gauge is maxed out at 4 hearts.

Trivia
- Similar to Demeter in the first game, Hera only appears when Melinoë reaches the surface.
- In Greek Mythology, Hestia, Demeter and Hera's actual parents are Cronus and Rhea, which makes Hades, Poseidon and Zeus their siblings.
- Hera claims to have only Ares and Hephaestus and that has always wanted to have a daughter.
- In Greek Mythology, she has Hebe, the goddess of youth and cupbearer of the gods, Eileithyia, goddess of childbirth, Enyo, goddess of destruction, and Angelos, goddess of purification, but none of them seem to exist in the game's canon, or have not been born yet. Eleutheria, goddess of liberty, was also sometimes said to be her daughter.
- Although Hera is not considered a witch, she seems to have an affinity for it, as she knows some spells.
- Previously, Hera's elemental boon affinities was earth before it was changed by The Warsong Update. Now, she is the only Olympian that can grant all five elements with her boons.
