The Equatorial Union is one of Earth's largest Neutral Entities nations in Cosmic Era.
Overview
The Equatorial Union consisted of a large part of South Asia (India, Afghanistan, Pakistan) and Southeast Asia (Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam), pacific islands near Southeast Asia (such as Nauru) and Papua New Guinea.
History
First Alliance-PLANT War
The Equatorial Union was one of three neutral nations during the war, having no affiliations with the Earth Alliance or ZAFT; the other two being the Kingdom of Scandinavia and the Orb Union. In June, C.E. 71, the Union was forced to join the Earth Alliance under the threat of invasion if it refused.[1] After the end of the war, the Equatorial Union reclaimed its independence from the Earth Alliance and acquired some territories from the Eurasian Federation.
Second Alliance-PLANT War
Following the "Break the World" incident in C.E. 73 and at the call of the Atlantic Federation, the Equatorial Union joined the World Security Treaty Organization along with other Earth nations, including the Orb Union.[2]
