History
Background
He is the Don of the New Guernsey-based Sonetti Crime Family. They are the rivals of the Liberty City-based Vercotti Crime Family.
Events of Grand Theft Auto
In 1997, the GTA Protagonist is hired by an unnamed member of the Vercotti Crime Family to help them in their war against the Sonetti family.
Don Sonetti sends his right-hand man to confront the protagonist and warn him not to mess with Sonetti's businesses again. However, the protagonist continues to work against Sonetti, disrupting his drug deals, stealing their shipments and killing his men, despite the previous warning.
Eventually, the protagonist finds Sonetti's hideout in Hackenslash after following his crime family member Cabot's car. They park a car rigged with explosives inside the building's garage and detonate it, killing everyone inside, including Don Sonetti himself.
