The San Andreas Police Department variant of the Police is a cut police vehicle from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Description
The only leftover of the vehicle present in the game files is an unused cutscene model "cspolicesa" intended for motion capture-based cutscenes (a static prop, not a functional vehicle), whose model name and texture files identify it as a state-wide police car.
When spawned, the SAPD Police vehicle will always appear facing north, and without functional animation rigs for its doors and wheels.
Design
Being an exact replica of the LVPD variant of the Police vehicle, the SAPD Police vehicle generally resembles a 1981–1990 Chevrolet Caprice, with the sides and back reminiscent of the 1980–1989 Dodge Diplomat, although it lacks any livery with the SAPD initials and seal. As with other cutscene vehicles, the SAPD Police vehicle uses the placeholder "California" license plate for its cutscene model.
The texture image for the vehicle body is vertically inverted by default[2], meaning that if spawned, the vehicle will have misplaced texture mapping.
