The Squall is a Beta heavy support unit.

The Squall was added as a new unit to the Beta faction in the Descent of the Shroud DLC.

Background

The Beta believe that the most dangerous threats come from places that can’t be seen. This belief is particularly evident in how they approach combat. Squalls were developed to force units out of brush and into the line of Beta fire—in short, to take away the enemy’s element of surprise.

Overview

The Squall's attack is two-fold: it damages enemy units, while also pushing them back. This is useful for flushing enemies out of brush and keeping them within the target range of allied units.

Tips

  • The Squall can help keep short-range enemy units a safe distance from your forces.
  • Squalls have a slow rate of fire. Be sure to make every attack count.
  • Some large units, such as Epics, can't be pushed by the Squall.
