Mother (母, Mazā) is the twentieth episode of GARO: The One Who Shines in the Darkness.
Synopsis
Summary
Burai tell Ryūga that his mother has died. Ryūga leaves, stating that he will never trust anyone again.
The Makai Knights arrive back at their base. Ryūga says that they need to save Rian as Hakana greets him after Burai restores her. Hakana says that she was forced to give birth to Madō Horrors.
Tousei Kaneshiro reveals to Rian how his mother was a Makai Priestess. Tousei reveals how he had a Horror kill his mother.
Hakana tells Kouga that she undertook the Rite of Zedom to restore the golden shine to the Garo armor. As the Seal of Zedom becomes an Inga Gates, Sonshi protects the priests. Sonshi is turned into a Madō Horror when he helps Tousei Kaneshiro. Tousei orders Sonshi to kill two of the priests before kidnapping Hakana. Tousei forces Hakana to give birth to Madō Horrors, causing her to lose her memories and de-age.
Hakana restores Ryūgas vision at the expense of her own. Ryūga asks Burai to protect Hakana as he and the other Makai Knights go to save Rian.
