Magō are a class of Madōgu that can be used to cleanse or seal dark energies away.
Overview
The Makai Order's classification of a magō have always been broad; any object or living being with purification and/or sealing capabilities against dark energies can be considered one. Makai Priests have traditionally used custom-enchanted objects, tools, equipment, sentient machines, and even spring water as magō. Unfortunately, the Order have known to be heartless and used spiritual beasts and even people (ex. Mayuri Shidō and Barg) to be classified as such. Once classified as a magical tool, the living being isn't treated fairly nor humanely, just a means to an end. Such "tools" has raised criticism as well as objections from more sympathetic knights and priests.
Among Dragon Knights, their Makai Dragon partner assume the role of Magō, as they can cleanse his armor of dark energies by absorbing it.
