Player

Simon Schmidt, known as Player, is the main protagonist and mascot character of GameToons. He made his first appearance in Fall Guys Logic. Episodes are often centred around him as he tries out various games, notably popular ones like Among Us or Friday Night Funkin', as well as other pieces of media such as Squid Game and Clucky’s. He often comments on the leaps of logic and absurdities each world possesses as he explores.

Appearance

As the main character, Player's appearance varies between game worlds:

In his real form, he is a human with tan skin, black eyes, and brown fluffy hair. He wears a red beanie, red beanie, black pants, and white shoes.

In Fall Guys Logic (Series), he is a pink Fall Guy. He wears a unicorn skin in Fall Guys Logic 2.

In Among Us Logic (Series), he is a red crewmate with a red beanie, which later becomes his trademark. He wears devil horns in Among Us Logic 6 and candy cane antlers in Among Us Logic 11. He is a squire in Among Us Logic: Dragon Mod and his beanie turns gold after the Innersloth gives him god-like powers in Among Us Logic: The God Impostor.

In Minecraft Logic (Series), he looks like Steve, one of the game's two default skins. He wears a light blue T-shirt and blue jeans, and has some stubble, dark brown hair and fairly dark skin.

In Friday Night Funkin' Logic (Series), he looks similar to Boyfriend, the main protagonist of the game, but with a few differences: he wears his beanie instead of a backwards baseball cap, he has a white T-shirt with a red letter "P" on it, blue jeans, red trainers and his hair is brown. After beating Matt, Player's hair is cyan, his shirt now has a prohibition sign on it, complete with the red and blue cap and he looks more like Boyfriend. In ORIGIN of DEMON GIRLFRIEND! Friday Night Funkin' Logic, Player wears a navy beanie, an orange hoodie, and navy jeans and trainers. In GIRLFRIEND'S SUMMER VACATION! Friday Night Funkin' Logic, he is shirtless with blue shorts and red sandals, also sporting Boyfriend's cap.

In Slither.io Logic, he is a red snake.

His appearance in Roblox Logic is pretty close to his real form, having the beanie and hoodie, but he's shown to be wearing a grey shirt under it and blue jeans. In later episodes his skin is yellow and he wears a crimson bandana.

In Five Nights at Freddy's Logic, he has light-brown hair as opposed to regular brown, and his casual outfit in that one-shot consists of a red jacket sweatshirt and gray pants.

In Henry Stickmin Logic, he is a stick figure with a red beanie.

In Squid Game Logic, he resembles his appearance in FNAF Logic. He wears the Squid Game tracksuit with the number 456 on it.

In Poppy Playtime Logic (Series), he is a yellow mannequin.

In PLAYER vs. ANTS: UNDERGROUND KINGDOM?!, he gains the control of the body of the queen ant, a red-colored ant with a large abdomen.

In PLAYER vs. THE BACKROOMS!, after he runs into B25 and B24, they offer him a yellow hazmat suit to put on.

In ORIGIN of AMANDA the ADVENTURER!, he wears a plain red T-shirt, black shorts and long white socks.

In PLAYER vs ONE PUNCH MAN?!, he finds a One Punch Man cosplay and puts it on.

In Pico Park Logic, he is a pixelated cat.

In Skibidi Toilet Logic (Series), he head become a boombox head and wears red headphones, a white shirt with a black tie beneath a red jacket while retaining his black pants and white shoes.

In Lethal Company Logic, he wears a orange hazard suit with a black gas mask and yellow oxygen tanks strapped to his back that are connected to his gas mask.

In PLAYER vs HAWKED!, he is teleported to the campus of hawked wearing a black shirt and a brown jacket along with a strap to carrying his stuff and blue jeans and he’s blonde.

In Who is POU? and POULINA is SO SAD..., when he is trying get out Pou's non-existing grasp, he finds a secret room where Pou has been torturing Paulina out of jealousy and gets his legs eaten by Pou, later getting his revenge on Pou, sporting a black hooding, red gloves, a pair of prosthetic to replace his now eaten legs and a jigsaw mask.

In The TRUE STORY of THAT'S NOT MY NEIGHBOR..., he is hired as a doorman for the DDD to keep his neighbors safe and keep dopplegangers out, wears a red and yellow uniform.

In GameToon's Last Video... when he has grown exhausted from running while on his way to the Clucky's restaurant, his skin become red from the burning heat, he has tie his hoodie around his waist, revealing that he wears a white tank top underneath his hoodie, and his hoodie, tank top, and hat all have tear marks on themselves. After arriving in the restaurant and from this episode and in the rest of CLUCKY'S Logic (Series) episodes, he wears a Clucky's work outfit that consists of a yellow and red T-shirt with striped sleeves, blue pants, white shoes, and a red hat.

Personality

Arrogant, aloof and aspirational, Player is a man with a deep desire for validation, control and an escape from his mundane life as he retreats into his video games. Player can show signs of heroism as he explores different worlds and enjoys helping the people he cares about. He doesn’t like being belittled and tries his best to prove himself worthy of being around as he seeks the respect and admiration of others. His strong competitive nature can attract attention from the people around him. Unfortunately, he can be naïve, which can lead him into being manipulated and used without his knowledge easily. Player enjoys gaming very much, despite not being very good at at. He can become hyperfixated on certain video games and will spend most of his free time playing them.

Player often complains about his shortcomings, blaming everyone but himself and doesn’t take losses very well, leading to a short temper that he follows up with sarcasm and dry humor. He doesn’t smile very often and is usually seen with a worried or annoyed expression. He isn’t afraid to exit the scene if something makes him annoyed or uncomfortable. Player is deeply insecure about his masculinity, being unusually short for an adult man at a mere 5 foot and being generally very weak physically, contributing to his cowardice.

Player is very self-centered, always trying to make everything about himself whilst prioritising his safety and wellbeing over helping others. He is extremely cowardly, frequently becoming paralyzed by fear. Player will usually choose to run away from situations instead of tackling them head on unless he has an advantage. He can be inconsiderate of other’s feelings, as he doesn’t really filter himself well and will often tell it as it is, he can have a hard time being empathetic. If Player has an edge over another, he can become incredibly cocky and egotistical, often mocking his opponents and making rash decisions on a whim. He holds grudges against those who wrong him and can become almost sadistic towards his foes as he seeks revenge.

He can also be considered to be a bit of a loner, as he tends to play games by himself rather than with familiars and can drop off the face of the earth from his friend group, annoying them in the process. Despite this he enjoys the company of others and seeks friendship in new environments. Most of Player’s relationships were created through games of Among Us.

Biography

Simon Schmidt is a young man born in Germany, he currently lives in Idaho, US with his mother, father, and sister Jessica. He attended Spudsville High and failed a ton of his classes as he never studied and would always find himself distracted by video games and TV. His classmates regarded him as “nerdy” and “wimpy.” He was chubby as a kid but slimmed out as he restricted his eating. He is usually found wearing a red sweatshirt and a red beanie that he rarely takes off. Simon is abnormally small for his age, being only 5 foot, he takes classes for self defence during his free time. When he isn’t taking self defence classes or watching TV, Simon is usually playing his current favorite video game over and over again. He had an online girlfriend who went by the screenname Noob, she broke things off after he took his friend’s side over her’s during a game of Among Us. His self centred worldview, cowardice and short temper makes an make him a difficult person to get along with, he usually views other’s pity of him as a type of weakness and holds grudges.

Relationships

Veteran

After meeting as strangers in a Fall Guys lobby, Veteran and Player quickly became friends after a short lived rivalry. They grew closer after playing Among Us together a lot, despite not making a very good team skill wise. Veteran tries his best to hype up his buddy Player with pep talks, but they never seems to rub off on him. Veteran is willing to put himself in harm’s way for Player and was even willing to let him win in Among Us Logic 12, making him a very loyal friend. It was revealed in Among Us Logic 5 that Player had made a BFF bracelet for Veteran, which he discarded during an argument with Captain over Player and who he prefers as his best friend, Captain currently owns it as he snatched it up when Veteran threw it to the ground. Player desperately wants to beat Veteran at various video games to prove he is as good at games as he is, but struggles, especially in Fall Guys.

In Squid Game Logic, Veteran and Player meet at the facility after Player falls off of his bunk bed. Veteran strikes up a conversation with Player and they start an unspoken alliance alongside Noob. Throughout the games, Player looks up to and worries about Veteran, he feels safer around him. Veteran gives Player as much advice, albeit useless, as he can give while they survive. During the final game, Veteran fights him and he is easily knocked to the ground. Before Veteran can deliver the final killing blow, he is killed off by Noob, without much of a reaction from Player.

Player clearly favors Veteran over his other friends and will always seek his companionship first over anybody else. After Player goes missing at Clucky’s, Veteran and Captain make their way through a harsh desert to find him. While Captain is worrying himself sick over Player’s disappearance, Veteran is a lot more indifferent to the situation and immediately goes to the menu of the establishment to see if he can order anything. Player is noticeably happy upon seeing Veteran’s frozen body after he is attacked by the Polar Prince as it showed him that Veteran was actually looking out for him. After Clucky and his team of evil mascots successfully defeat his friends, Player and his newly acquired ally Jaxon search throughout the restaurant to find them. Player is shown frantically looking for Veteran over his other friends.

TheGentleman

While Player and TheGentleman quarrel from time to time, their relationship is mostly amicable, especially after Mr. Cheese began to overshadow him. In Among Us Logic 1, Player has a serious vendetta against him because he thinks that he is the impostor. TheGentleman has a soft spot for Player, shown through helping him into the secret Airship room despite the rest of the crew not wanting him around, and by trying to stop him from making bad decisions so he can win. It seems like he wants the best for him, a sentiment that is not shared by Player, as he frequently makes fun of him and ignores his advice.

Mr. Cheese

Best frenemies, Mr. Cheese and Player are often found duking it out to see who’s better, teaming up on occasion when the rest of the lobby have had enough of their nonsense. When Mr. Cheese was infected by Captain's computer Zombie Virus, instead of listening Captain's command to push Player into the lava of Polus, he pushed both himself and Captain into it instead. This shows that that even when controlled, Mr. Cheese will have Player’s back over Captain’s. Player and Mr. Cheese both have an intense desire to be validated within their friend group, which leads to their competitive friendship. It has been heavily hinted at that despite Player’s dislike for him, he holds a soft spot for him that he expresses through empathy and understanding towards Mr. Cheese’s behavior.

Mr. Egg

Player originally found Mr. Egg to be an annoyance, as he assisted TheGentleman in thwarting his plan to win. During Among Us Logic 8, Player warmed up towards Mr. Egg as they were both impostors, creating a great team that was later ruined by Player’s suspicious enthusiasm during the game ratting them out. In later episodes they don't interact much, but Mr. Egg does enjoy Player’s company and will perestroika some small talk between the two. In GameToons Gaming, Mr. Egg frequently playfully teases him.

Captain

Player and Captain have a very complicated relationship. While originally not having many interactions beforehand, suddenly in Among Us Logic 4, Captain declares Player as his best friend and sticks with it despite Player’s confusion. He constantly brings Player up to others as his closest friend, trying to get him to meet up with him for picnics and games offline, only for Player to ignore him as he wasn’t interested. Player thinks of Captain as an idiot he doesn’t want to be around and excitedly talks about killing him in game, he deliberately ignores his birthday invitations and messages. In Among Us Logic 15, Captain snaps as Player’s rejection and mistreatment gets to him and he tries to sabotage Among Us to make Player lose, the thing he hates the most. Eventually, in Among Us Logic: Hacking Security Cams!, Captain calms down and restarts his obsessive pursuit for Player’s attention once again, by beginning to date his sister Jessica. To this day, Captain still obsesses over Player and hopes to grow closer to him, much to Player’s dismay. Over time Player has found himself less annoyed hanging around Captain, but still voices his discomfort at his delusional nature regarding their friendship.

Dum

Dum is Player’s sister. Player usually doesn’t care what his sister is up to, but is especially upset when she reveals she is dating Captain and is constantly begging her to break up with him. It has been confirmed on Discord by K that Dum and Player can’t stand each other, despite their interactions in the series being mostly neutral. Dum has a fear of spiders and Player takes them outside gently instead of killing them for her.

Mother

Mother is one of the few crew members Player likes and considers a friend. He could not bring himself to kill her in Among Us Logic 2 as he was racked with guilt after she starts talking to him about her children. He appears upset when she dies in Among Us Logic 15 and wants to help her son Franklin, not realizing that Franklin had been zombified. In Among Is Logic 14, he mentions her as one of his friends. He chooses not to kill her over the other crewmates, only killing her in Among Us Logic 10 because Veteran wanted to kill Bro instead of her. He also chooses to shoot BDay over Mother in Among Us Logic, But The Impostor Changes Colors….

Noob

Noob is Player's ex-girlfriend. She first appeared in Fall Guys Logic 2 where she takes advantage of Player’s softness to win. They “break up” in Among Us Logic 16 after Player is convinced by his friends, mainly Veteran, that she killed Mr. Cheese and everyone votes for her.

She later reappears in Squid Game Logic, where she, Veteran and Player create an alliance together to make it through the killing games alive. Her and Player are very similar in personality, with Noob being a lot more empathetic and skilled when it comes to games.

Stoner

Player’s first loss in Among Us was thanks to him, but the pair get along just fine throughout the series. Stoner even helps Player grasp his very first win in Among Us in Among Us Logic, But The Impostor Changes Colors… Player also encounters Stoner alongside Captain and Veteran in Lethal Company Logic.

Ninja

Player admires and respects Ninja’s skills at Among Us a lot, gushing over and asking him questions about his abilities in Among Us Logic 12. In the movie, Player calls Ninja after he and Wizard are attacked at The Airship by NoVisor, claiming Ninja is the only crewmate powerful enough to defeat him. Ninja pities Player’s inability to win.

Angel

In Among Us Logic, Angel and Stoner team up as impostors on Discord to troll Player into blaming TheGentleman over Stoner, she even lets Stoner blame her to gain more trust among the other players. In The Cheater’s Lobby, Player and Angel are paired as impostors. Player is reassured by her and admires her skills as an impostor before her untimely death, being crushed by Ms. Pink.

Gnome

In PLAYER vs. KINITOPET!, Gnome is shown within Player’s World as one his closest friends alongside Veteran, Mr. Cheese and Captain, which was deemed odd as they don’t have many interactions within the series. In Among Us Logic: The Last Crewmate, she is sent by TheGentleman to eliminate Player.

Rookie

Player and Rookie cross paths after Rookie bumps into him in a panicked state after managing to summon the supposedly fabled NoVisor with a chant his brother taught him. Player offers to help him in righting his wrong by gathering a team to get rid of the newly summoned NoVisor once and for all. Rookie seems to be one of the very few who actually looks up to Player. Despite this, Player doesn’t seem to respect Rookie very much as a person as he frequently puts him down knowing he doesn’t fight back, but Player is still willing to assist him when he’s in a pickle.

Alan

Player’s father. In a GameToons Gaming video, Player suggests that his father is hard on him, contributing to his deep rooted insecurity.

• Player’s original trio of friends were him, Veteran and Noob. Noob was eventually replaced by Captain despite his and Player’s complicated relationship due to her voice actor no longer being involved with Newscape projects.
• A lot of Player’s prominent character traits are commonly shared with narcissists.
  • If diagnosed, Player would be considered a compensatory narcissist, a type of narcissist who puts on a facade of grandiosity in order to mask his underlying low self esteem, physical weakness and insecurity.
    • It is highly likely that Player’s video game addiction is a coping mechanism caused by his feelings of inferiority in the real world and desire to be in control.
• Player is a liberal.
• Player is a known attention seeker with a superiority complex, but due to him having absolutely no spine, he is an extremely easy target for others to put down. He will even drop his usual self glorifying narcissistic behavior in order to garner pity in tough situations, such as exclaiming that he’s only a kid despite his hatred for being infantilized.
• Player cannot be trusted with great power, as almost every single time he is granted supernatural powers or acquires great strength, he immediately turns on everybody as he aims for total domination over all.
  • If he isn’t turning on his friends, he will be sure to remind them about how much better and more important he is than they are.
• Player’s favorite color was originally yellow, but over time he has gained an affinity for the color red.
• In Captain's Crew he is the youngest, only being older than Timmy and Franklin as they are children.
• As his last name suggests, Player is German.
  • Player's last name was confirmed to be Schmidt in ORIGIN of AMANDA THE ADVENTURER!.
• Player and his best friend Veteran are voiced by the same voice actor, K. William Scott.
• Despite originally appearing in Fall Guys Logic, Player isn’t named until the first episode of Among Us Logic. Player’s sceenname is derived from the default Among Us username generation as he forgot to change it before entering the lobby. He must’ve liked it, as he doesn’t ever change his username beyond it and permanently goes by the alias Player online.
• In the Among Us Logic series, it became a recurring joke that Player would lose every round he played no matter how hard he tried. He finally won his first official match in "Among Us Logic, But The Impostor Changes Colors…".
• Player mentioned that he is lactose-intolerant in Among Us Logic: Fat Imposter..., but this could be a lie he made up to avoid eating Mr. Cheese’s fast food, as he is seen eating pizza in multiple other episodes.
• Among Us Logic 9 is the first episode that Player had not yet died during a game of Among Us, but still lost.
• In the Spanish dub, his name is Jugador.
  • Jugador has an Argentinean accent.
