Otter is a North American river otter who was once Franklin's best friend.
Otter was voiced by Sophie Lang in the first season of the show. Her return visit was voiced by Marieve Herington.
Plot
She moves away in "Franklin's Bad Day" in the program's first season. Otter comes for a visit in the second season, but the reunion had mixed feelings, with the village not remaining the same as Otter remembered it.
Personality
A lively girl with a big heart, Otter has good intentions, and is always bright, happy, lovable, playful and cheerful. Otter is also known to be swift and athletic. After she moved away in "Franklin's Bad Day", Franklin was a little bit cranky and mad, but then realized that she and Franklin could still be friends when Otter visits him.
Looks
Otter is a dark brown North American river otter. Just like Beaver, she has a white area leading from her stomach to the bridge of her nose.

Trivia
- Otter can play the drum [1].
- In "Franklin and Otter's Visit," Mrs. Heron doesn't recognize Otter and refers to her as Weasel.
- Otter is the eldest of all the Woodland kids.
- Otter appears on a banner seen in the sixth season story "Franklin Sees the Big Picture." This is the final appearance in the franchise of Otter in any form.
- It is shown in the second flashback of "Franklin's Bad Day" that Otter is left-pawed (an equivalent to "left-handed") (or perhaps ambidextrous), as she is using a paintbrush with her left paw.
