Fox

Fox is one of Franklin's friends who is sly and wily, and his daring nature sometimes causes him to get into trouble. Fox is 8 years old (7 in the first 3 seasons of the original series, before Season 4 onwards and Franklin and Friends).

He is voiced by Gil Filar, later Ali Mukaddam, then Scott Beaudin in the original series. On Franklin and Friends, he is voiced by Jake Roseman.

As a member of the Super Cluepers, Fox is known as Kid Gizmo.

Plot

In "Franklin is Lost," he led Franklin into playing a game of hide-and-seek with him in the woods and the two both became lost. He is best friends with Rabbit and is usually seen with him. Fox has a crush on Badger and is often teased about it in some episodes. Fox seems to get along well with most of the boys. The only girl he is usually seen talking to a lot is Beaver.

Personality

Quick-witted and street smart, Fox’s knowledge comes from exploring rather than studying. He’s an unconventional thinker and a definite charmer; his easy smile and magnetic personality can win over most (with the exception of Beaver!). He’s inseparable from his best friend Rabbit, and the two are usually game to try anything. He loves to be the center of attention. Sometimes, he even plays pranks or gets into a little mischief, just to see what he can get away with, but he would never make someone feel bad on purpose. He has a friendly rivalry with Rabbit and the two sometimes try to one-up the other.

Looks

Fox's fur is red-orange during the original series' run. After 2004, he is regularly seen with orange-yellow fur instead, and this carries over to Franklin and Friends as well. He has a white muzzle and chest, and black tips on top of his ears. He has a black nose and black paws.

Trivia

• In the original series, his fur is red-orange, like with a real fox. After 2004, his fur is now orange-yellow, however his parents still have darker-colored fur.
• Fox's favorite sport is skateboarding.
• Fox and Goose are the only known skateboarders in the franchise.
• Like many foxes in animated movies and TV, Fox is depicted at times as cunning mischievous one and someone who sometimes teases other characters.
  • These traits are rather toned down in the spin-off series Franklin and Friends.
• Fox can play the maracas ^[1], the bongo drums ^[2] and the cowbell ^[3].
• In the first season, Fox and his parents regularly went on all fours. This character trait was taken down in Season 2.
