Boons

Boons are a type of item and game mechanic in Fortnite: Battle Royale. They were introduced in Chapter 6: Season 1.

Functionality

Boons can be found in Chests and Elemental Chests, and dropped from defeated Demon Warriors. Boons can also be obtained by returning a Sprite to a Sprite Shrine, although only the Wind and Water variants can be obtained in this manner. They can be equipped by the player, and will grant a different effect to the player depending on which type of Boon is equipped.

Unlike other items, boons cannot be dropped from the player's inventory after being picked up, and will not drop when the player is eliminated.

• Wind Boon's Item ID probably references Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO). This is likely because running faster with a Melee Weapon is a staple mechanic in the Counter Strike series.
