Sagittae is a Black Magic spell originating from from Fire Emblem Gaiden and reappearing its remake, as well as Fire Emblem: Three Houses. As its name suggests, it shoots waves of arrows at a selected enemy target.
Overview
In Gaiden, although Sagittae is one of the stronger spells, it suffers from fairly low accuracy.
In the Gaiden remake Shadows of Valentia, the spell retains its high might and average accuracy, but also becomes a 1-3 range spell like Thunder. Furthermore, its accuracy issues are somewhat mitigated by the fact that most characters that learn the spell also acquire the Skill Discipline, which boosts the accuracy of Black Magic spells.
In Three Houses, Sagittae is a mid-tier spell with average might, but high accuracy.

Etymology
Sagitta is the Latin noun for "arrow", and Sagittae is likely in the nominative plural, meaning "arrows". The name "Sagittae" also evokes the image of Sagittarius, the ninth astrological sign in the Greeco-Roman Zodiac, who is mostly depicted as a centaur wielding a bow and arrow; his symbol also uses the bow and arrow for imagery.
