E:U (이유) is the main rapper, main dancer and former leader of the K-pop girl group ΣVΣRGLOW.

Career

2017: Yuehua Girls

E:U first made a public appearance through the online video series "Yuehua Girls" that documented the daily lives of several Yuehua female trainees. The videos were only available through the Chinese video-sharing platform BiliBili. E:U had the opportunity to have her own video series on the site under Yuehua Girls, titled "Jiwon's Vlog". The series had four episodes, each being around two minutes long.^[1]

Shortly after the release of Yuehua Girls, Jiwon was featured on SBS' show Cooking Class, where she made food for the other guests.^[2]

2018: Modeling Debut

In August 2018 E:U made her debut as a model for STARE Shoes along with another Yuehua Entertainment trainee.^[3]

2019: Debut of EVERGLOW

On February 24th of 2019, shortly after Yuehua announced EVERGLOW's debut, E:U was revealed as the fifth member of the group with her Crank in Film video. Just a month later, she debuted as part of EVERGLOW with the single album "Arrival of Everglow" and its title track, "Bon Bon Chocolat".

In November of 2019 E:U made her modeling comeback with a second look book for STARE Shoes.

2021: Leadership change

Following the release of EVERGLOW's third single album Last Melody, it had been announced that the leadership position, originally held by E:U, would be passed onto Sihyeon.^[4]
