Mr. Dugan is a character who appears in the Disney animated series Gargoyles.
Background
Mr. Dugan is the father of Rory Dugan who lives in Ireland, and is the patriarch of the Dugan family. During his life, he felt very upset of his son not remembering his heritage and had hopes that Rory would remember more than he had, much to his father furious of Rory's negative attitude.
It's unknown what happened to Mr. Dugan's wife, but it can be assumed he is either divorced or a widower.
Later, after Rory rediscovered his heritage and then reincarnated into the Irish folk hero, Cu Chullain, it is likely that Mr. Dugan is aware of Rory who rediscovered his own heritage as well defeating the fearsome Banshee - although it is doubtful if he is aware of it.
Role in the series
In "The Hound of Ulster", Rory Dugan approaches his father in his family's house, which his father is upset for returning home late. Rory tells him to know if he heard something strange last night which his father replies to him that he knows of a legend about the Hound of Ulster, telling Rory that it was just a police car's siren he heard regarding about the police chasing thieves last night (presumably referring to Molly shoplifting a jacket). Mr. Dugan soon sees that Rory is lacking his heritage, telling him to make something of himself which Rory and his father get into an argument, telling him to remember his heritage, just before Rory leaves his family's house feeling very upset.
The next day, Rory introduces Molly to his father just as Rory recaps of his encounter with Cromm-Cruach as well as a mysterious tomb known as "Cairn na Chullain", tomb of Ireland's greatest hero Cu Chullain who saved Ireland from the Banshee 2,000 years ago which Rory plans to go to Cu Chullain's tomb. However, his father warns him that there are some things in this part of the world he should avoiding tampering with, much to Rory attempting to go to Cairn na Chullain with Molly which could lead him to danger.
It is likely that Mr. Dugan has been aware of his son rediscovering his heritage when he seeked the legacy of Cu Chullain in his tomb Cairn na Chullain, although it is doubtful that Mr. Dugan knew that his son Rory was a modern reincarnation of Cu Chullain who rediscovered his heritage and defeated the Banshee in combat, followed by Rory thanking the Manhattan Clan for helping him remember his heritage.

- Mr. Dugan's voice actor, Colm Meaney, also participated in the Star Trek franchise playing Miles O'Brien who appeared in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: The Next Generation.
