Heritage

"Heritage" is the thirty-eighth episode of Gargoyles, and the twenty-sixth single-part episode of the series. It aired on November 27, 1995.

Plot

Arriving in Canada, the world tourists encounter their first children of Oberon through Grandmother, who is trying to teach the skeptical Natsilane the ways of his heritage in order to face the malevolent Raven, who terrorizes the area.

Trivia

• Grandmother reveals that Children of Oberon are not allowed to directly interfere with humans. So instead of revealing her true nature to Nick, she instead takes the forms of magical creatures from legend to make him believe in magic.
• Raven appears to abandon the island this time, stating he found it boring.
• Natsilane and his family are Haida-from British Columbia-but his outfit during the fight with Raven looks more like a cliche "Plains Native" outfit.
