Sdrawkcab is the first segment of the thirty-third episode in season 2 of Dexter's Laboratory. It first aired on April 1, 1998.
In this episode, Dexter's newest invention, the Backwards Belt, makes the wearer do everything in reverse. However, when Dee Dee gets ahold of the belt's directional lever, she causes mayhem for Dexter.
Plot
Dexter is in his lab testing out his newest invention, the Backwards Belt. He asks for the assistant robot to move the lever forward, which it does so. While monologuing to himself out loud, the robot overhears Dexter say "Reverse" and pulls the lever, making Dexter go backwards. Fighting the reversal, Dexter orders the robot to put him back in "Forward" mode and he walks toward the edge of his lab. Just as Dexter nears the floor, he flies back up and repeats the fall four more times.
In the kitchen, Dexter is having a snack, but the Backwards Belt makes him regurgitate his hoagie and undrink his milk. Noticing something's amiss, Dexter runs to the lab, but is interrupted by Mom as she stands in front of him with a garbage bag. Annoyed, Dexter takes the garbage out to give to the garbage truck driver, but is backed into the house twice with the Backwards Belt. Just then, Dexter runs back and forth on the stairs, knocking Dad over and sending him tumbling down.
At his room door, Dexter charges into the laboratory to find Dee Dee messing with the lever that controls the Backwards Belt. Unable to fight the urge, Dexter takes the Backwards Belt off and is freed from its control. He then chews her out for all the trouble she has been causing (losing his lunch, making mom mad at him and dad falling down the stairs). Dee Dee then puts the Backwards Belt on her, giving him an idea. Dee Dee then falls and hits the floor in Dexter's lab back and forth, much to Dexter's delight (and his revenge for everything she made him do, or undo).

Production Notes
- At the start of the episode, unlike typical episodes, the credits are shown before the title of the episode, showing the directors name first, then the storyboard artists, following the title (Sdrawcab), consistent with the backwards theme of the episode. The music plays backwards as well.
- This episode along with "The Continuum of Cartoon Fools" and "Sun, Surf, and Science" were produced in the same year of 1998 according to the credits.
Goofs/Errors
- On some cable boxes, the episode is misspelled as "Sdrawcab."
Notes
- None known.
