Old Flame is the first segment of the twenty-eighth episode in season 2 of Dexter's Laboratory. It first aired on February 25, 1998.

In this episode, Dexter brings an unnamed caveman who discovered fire back from the past. As he gives the caveman a tour of his laboratory, Dee Dee intervenes and has the caveman do other fun things such as chalk drawings and jumping rope.

  • The caveman in this episode appears to be based on the character Ugh from the Hanna-Barbera cartoon Dino Boy.
    • He is also almost completely identical to Spear, one of the main protagonists from Genndy Tartaovsky's newest cartoon, Primal.

Cultural references

  • The flux capacitator that Dexter shows the caveman is a reference to the film Back to the Future.
