The Harpies are a race of vicious monsters in Greek mythology, usually portrayed as birds with the faces of human women. The name "Harpy" has also been used by several characters in the DC Universe. Denise de Sevigne used the name during World War I while fighting Enemy Ace. Iris Phelios used the name to fight Batman while working for the crimelord Maxie Zeus.
