Eros is the God of Love and a member of the Olympians, a extra-dimensional race once worshipped as a deity by the people of Ancient Ancient Greece. He uses a mystical bow and arrow which will cause anyone to fall in love with the first thing they see.
History
Earth-Two
Eros is the primordial god of love, son of Nyx, the goddess of the night and wife of Chaos.
He was born from an egg laid by Nyx on top of Mount Olympus at the beginning of time. When he was born, he gave rise to a very strong light that scared his mother away, but an unknown voice from heaven gave him his bow and arrows of love and guided him to use them on all beings in existence, bringing love and beauty to the world.
When Uranos and Gaea succeeded Chaos and Nyx in governing the world, Eros shot them, uniting them as a couple that generated the Titans, the Cyclopes and the Hecatonchires.[1]
Earth-One
Eros was enamored with Wonder Woman. After her lover Steven Trevor was fatally wounded by Doctor Cyber Eros' spirit was implanted in Trevor's body. Eros as Trevor took the name "Steve Howard", since Trevor was very publicly buried. After he was removed from Steve's body[3] by the Dark Commander Eros was placed into a twilight state, as his "death" as Howard had driven him mad. Eros' madness was cured when he attacked another Steve Trevor who was undergoing treatment under the Amazons' Purple Healing Ray. This removed the memories of the original Steve Trevor, merging them into the other Steve, who now had the memories off all three Trevors.[4]
New Earth
Eros is a trickster who often chooses to manifest as a flirtatious teenager. He helps his father Ares harass Zeus, and is annoyed when Ares interferes in his romantic pursuits. Unlike his siblings who live with their father in the Areopagus Eros lives in Olympus like their mother Aphrodite.

Notes
- In pre-Crisis continuity Eros spent a few years with the memories of the late Steve Trevor, believing himself to be the true Steve brought back to life by Aphrodite.[6] During that time he used the alias Steven Howard and changed his appearance slightly, since Steve Trevor's death was still remembered by other people. When Steven Howard himself died,[7], Eros' essence was released and eventually reformed in his true form. His memories as Steven Howard were shortly after accidentally reintegrated with the Steve Trevor of another world,[5], effectively resurrecting the Steve Trevor of Earth-One, whose death's memory had been erased by that point due to the Mists of Nepenthe.[8]
