The Areopagus is a hill that exist both in Athens, Greece, and in a subdimension similar to Mount Olympus. It is the abode of the Greek god of war Ares, where not even Zeus can touch him.[3]
History
It is uncertain how the Areopagus ("Hill of Ares") of the god plane connects to that of the mortal plane.
On the mortal plane, the Areopagus is a prominent rock located near the Acropolis of Athens. It was here that the famous trial of Orestes before the Olympian Gods took place in ancient times.[1]
From the earthly Areopagus one can penetrate the darkness of Erebus, home of the Erinyes, on the way to Hades.[2][1]
