The Wreckage is a location in the Swamp biome, and can only be accessed via use of the Oxygen Tank. There is little valuable loot here besides the Assault Rifle.

The area contains the broken remnants of a Polish Mi-8 military grade helicopter on the outskirts of the swamp. A few bodies can be found there, with assorted loot on the two inside of the wreckage, and an Assault Rifle (one of the only two obtainable in the game without killing Wolfman) and a Medium Caliber Magazine on the body of a soldier on the outside. One of the corpses inside the helicopter wreckage holds the Destroyed Photo.

Speculation

• Here can be found the corpse of the Doctor's wife (hence, holding the photo of him) and possibly their child - they both came to find him but crashed.
• Fabric and photo = dress on wife.
• Rag and rope = clothes and skipping rope on child.

It is also possible that Doctor's family was not present in the helicopter, instead all of the corpses being soldiers with orders to find or capture the Doctor. The photo could be so that the squad would have a way to identify the Doctor, with the rope and rag being possibly to tie up the Doctor and blind him, so that he could be transported to a different location. Though this speculation seems to be very unlikely and lacks basically any evidence to support it.
