Top Hat

Top Hat is a snobbish railway tug from Bigg City Port.

Personality

Top Hat is the Crotoonian Northern Coast Tugboat Co.'s railway tug, equipped with a tall wheelhouse to overlook the tall loads, freight cars and carriages he delivers via Frank and Eddie. Top Hat, as his name and wheelhouse might suggest, is rather uppity and looks down at the other tugs. He thinks he's far too important to do menial and dirty work like pulling garbage barges and sometimes watches only for himself. Despite his high and mighty attitude, Top Hat will work fast in an emergency and is a loyal friend when it matters most.

Technical Detals

Basis

Like the rest of the Star Fleet, Top Hat is based on the tugs of San Francisco waters from the 1920s, although he also resembles John-A.-Dialogue-&-Sons-built New York Central Tugboat 13, which is also a railway tug.

Livery

Top Hat is painted in the Star Fleet's corporate livery. This consists of a black hull, a yellow superstructure, white mast and an American flag-styled red, white and blue funnel. His name is painted on the sides of his bow in white and he has the number "4" on his funnel. He wears a black vintage top hat and a monocle.

Top Hat's model was created by MainlandStudios for an earlier project, and later converted and rigged for MMD with permission.
