The Pengpeng is an organic enemy in CrossWorlds. They can be encountered in Bergen Trail.
Appearance
The Pengpeng is a large, upright-standing bird based on the penguin. It is colored mainly black, with a white stomach and blue patterns on its back. It has small, beady black eyes and an orange bill and feet.
Combat
During combat, a Pengpeng follows the player from a long enough distance to not be reached by their Melee attacks. It waddles slowly and starts running if the player gets too far away from it. It has a ranged attack where it makes a snowball and throws it at the player, dealing Cold damage and causing Chill. This attack can be interrupted with any attack that pushes the Pengpeng, whether it is a charged Ball, the final hit of a Melee combo or a Combat Art. Its other attack is running in place and quickly belly-sliding into the player. Falling into water deals no damage to this enemy whatsoever and causes it to slide towards the player as soon as it hits the ground.
Strategies
They are only a threat in large numbers. You can focus on dodging the sliding Pengpengs while throwing Balls, or you can try to clump them together and eliminate them swiftly with Melee. In the latter case, consider that the slide attack cannot be disrupted, so you should watch which Pengpeng is about to slide to dodge it.
They are frequently found around White Frobbits and Horny Goats. In the first enemy's case, you should defeat whichever one of them bothers you the most. For the second case, focus on the Pengpengs until the Horny Goat makes itself vulnerable.
