Synopsis
Flashback to December 1, 2001 - It's a busy night in Frank's Deli, with Ricardo and Frank serving their customers. Frank's son, Tommy, and his friend Stump stopped by to meet up with his father. Frank told stories about his son taking computer subject on his night classes to his customers, until they teased him to have a new date on his life. However, Frank doesn't seem to be interested to have another wife, after his wife passed away, and teasingly shooing his customers away so he won't hear another word from them again. Tommy asked his dad why he won't go on another date, only Frankie replying to him that he's busy on his store, and he leaned down to pat his dog, named King. Ricardo teasingly told Tommy that King was his wife with Frankie telling them that "can't it you two!".
December 18, 2001 - the store seemed to be robbed as the cash register left open, with some footprints seen on the floor. Fronting the cashier's table, Frank will be seen dead, as someone hit him from his head. His box case was archived, but marked as CLOSED.
Back to the Present Day
Valens and Rush were talking about Kat Miller (from narcotics, which she appeared first in "Honor"), joining their homicide team soon. Later on, Gabby Weiss approached alongside Ricardo's brother, Paulo Muñoz asking them to reconsider Ricardo's case as they believed that he didn't kill his own boss and a friend. Paulo asked Scotty if he has a brother, and he replied yes. Upon hearing this, Paulo pleaded to Det. Valens that he has to help his brother to re-investigate his case as he knew that he wasn't committed do such thing.
