I was looking for redemption, I was looking for a sign. I was searching for an answer, be it yours or be it mine. I was hoping for some insight, I was looking far too hard. I was searching for the wrong thing, now I don't know where to start! (It's Vulture Aid!) I spy, (It's not too late!) with my little eye, (Get Vulture Aid!) something beginning with V! It's Vulture Aid, it's not too late! Get Vulture Aid!

Vulture Aid, fully known as Vulture Aid Elixir, is a Perk-a-Cola in Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 featured in the Zombies mode.

Overview

Vulture Aid costs 3000 points in Call of Duty: Black Ops II. The color for the perk is red (although the color of the drink is orange) and the icon is a skeletal vulture. The perk mirrors the perks Scavenger, allowing zombies to drop ammo packs, and Engineer, as items of interest are highlighted and can be seen through walls. When a player has Vulture Aid:

  • They will be able to see perks, wall weapons, places to draw chalk wall buys, the Pack-a-Punch machine, and the Mystery Box through walls over a short distance.
  • Zombies will occasionally drop small packets of ammo (approximately 10% of a weapon's magazine size) or points (between 5 to 20 points); these only affect the player's currently equipped weapon. Using the Paralyzer makes it cool down faster.
  • Certain zombies will release a cloud of green gas upon death, which will cause players standing inside it to be ignored by other zombies. Such zombies can be noted by the green cloud emanating from them.
  • Zombie eyes, Perk machines, the Mystery Box and the Pack-a-Punch Machine all have a brighter glow to them that makes them more easily visible.
  • While standing inside a gas cloud, the player's vision and hearing will be distorted and muffled. As the effect of the cloud begins to take place, the perk icon in the lower-left portion of the screen will begin to glow and emit a green smoke cloud. Even after the player has left the gas cloud, zombies will ignore them for as long as the perk icon is glowing.

In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Vulture Aid's functionality changed. By default, it allows zombies to drop Essence vials and ammo drops, available and visible to the player with Vulture Aid active. Like all Perk-a-Colas, Vulture Aid can be imbued with two out of six possible Augments. Players can equip one Major Augment and one Minor Augment at a time.

Major Augments

  • Fetid Upgr-aid: On death, zombies have a chance to create a gas cloud that charges your Field Upgrade.
  • Smell of Death: On death, zombies have a chance to create a gas cloud that conceals you while standing in it.
  • Parting Gift: Vulture Aid ammo drops give more ammo to Wonder Weapons.

Minor Augments

  • Condor's Reach: Auto-pickup loot from farther away.
  • Carrion Luggage: Critical kills have a chance to drop extra Salvage.
  • Picky Eater: On death, zombies have a higher chance of dropping your current equipment.

Appearance

In Call of Duty: Black Ops II, the Vulture Aid machine resembles a coffin, with a red and yellow paint job. It has a single light bulb on the top of the machine and a large, rusted lever on the bottom left of the machine. On the front of the machine, there is a glowing orange, elegant design under the logo of Vulture Aid. The same logo can be seen on the left and right side on the machine.
