Omni-Shredder

[Source]

Extra powerful suction and internal reinforcement can now handle ZOMGs.
~ Bloons TD Battles Mobile description

Omni-Shredder is the last upgrade of the first path for the Bloonchipper, exclusive to Bloons TD Battles Mobile, replacing the old Super Wide Funnel. It can suck up ZOMGs. It stalls MOAB-class bloons at 25% of the distance travelled compared to if not sucked in. While holding in any blimp, the Omni-Shredder cannot suck up any other bloon. It also deals 3 damage to chipped bloons, and about 500 damage over 3 seconds to MOAB-class bloons sucked up.

It costs $6,000.

Strategy

Summary

As simply the upgrade of the Super Wide Funnel, Omni-Shredder offers an excellent countermeasure against ZOMGs by stalling them and dealing a lot of damage to them. Because the Omni-Shredder only offers ZOMG targeting and nothing else, it is recommended to use this upgrade specifically against singular ZOMGs. The Omni-Shredder's support against ZOMGs is valuable, particularly in combination with additional reliable defenses that can handle lower-tier blimps fairly easily.

Tips

  • Setting on Strong is optimal, as its primary value comes from the ZOMG suction, even more so than the Super Wide Funnel. There's no point in any other priority, as clogging the Omni-Shredder with multiple smaller bloon types will just waste its ZOMG-sucking potential.
  • Omni-Funnel would pair well in a Tack-Village-Chipper loadout against an early ZOMG.
  • As Omni-Funnel allows sucked ZOMGs to become exposed, a Super Monkey Fan Club activation on a ZOMG allows that ZOMG to be focused better.

Glitches

Current
  • [6.20] The upgrade artwork for Super Wide Funnel is used instead of the new artwork for Omni-Shredder. Similarly occurs for Super Wide Funnel but with the Triple Layer Blades artwork.

Version History (Bloons TD Battles Mobile)

As the only new exclusive upgrade in the game, this upgrade aims for the Chipper to overcome its complete inability to affect ZOMGs, restoring somewhat back to pre-4.1 but at a much higher overall cost.

6.20
  • Change Omni-Shredder now replaces Super Wide Funnel
  • NERF Omni-Shredder cost increased from $4000 to $6000
  • BUFF Super Wide Funnel now allows MOAB-class bloons can now be hit by other towers while shredding them
  • Note: The note about "Stalls MOAB-class bloons by 25% of distance they would have travelled if not sucked in" is likely the original, pre-existing functionality of the Super Wide Funnel.
