History

In Bloons TD 6

Adora makes her first appearance in the game Bloons TD 6. She is the fifth new hero added to the game, in Version 14.0.

Adora embraces the power of sun by summoning sunbeams that aggressively home at bloons. She can sacrifice towers to boost herself and her XP. At higher levels, she can summon a ball of light that vaporizes bloons. She is even able to be a True Sun Goddess!

In Bloons Pop!

Main article: Quincy (Bloons Pop!)

Adora is the first Hero to be introduced in the game Bloons Pop!. After several shots from fellow Dart Monkeys and Bomb Shooters, Quincy will arrive for the first time after being summoned for acquiring sufficient score in Level 1.

She has a ray of light that vaporizes whatever bloons are nearby her.

In Bloons TD Battles 2

In the game Bloons TD Battles 2, Adora is available to be unlocked with a sum of Monkey Money. She is the sixth new hero added to the game, in Version 3.1, after Agent Jericho. She also has an exclusive hero alt who is added in Version 3.3.

Adora has some differences compared to BTD6. Mainly, she has higher pierce and her Blood Sacrifice supercharges the target for a short time before getting sacrificed.

Return2Sender

In Bloons Card Storm, Adora was added in Version 2.0 and is available to be unlocked with Monkey Money. She is the first new hero added to the game.

Before her release she made a cameo on the Return 2 Sender card. According to this card, she lives in a suburban household, with a relatively spacious backyard, a tree, and two shrubs, and she is wearing slippers angrily pointing her finger to an implied monkey who is inside a package.

Description

Appearance

Adora is a white-yellow monkey with a ponytail, bearing similar colors with the True Sun God. She has a cape, a golden headband, and some golden armor with orange highlights on her shoulder.

Personality

Adora is rather serious and unhappy. However, Adora does smile sometimes. She usually has half-open eyelids.

Adora is feminine in terms of personality, examples are her flora skin and sunbathing decoration in Bloons Pop! as supported by Ninja Kiwi's 30th July 2021 blog, Adora is a "girly girl".

Other information

Adora sometimes sunbathes on the beach, shown in Bloons Pop! as Sunbathing Adora and her Summer Sun showcase cosmetics in Bloons TD Battles 2.

She owns a pegasus named Sunbeam.

Joan of Arc is Adora's second skin, first released to Bloons TD 6 on Version 16.0, and the 10th Hero skin to be ever released. It is a reference to French Saint and historical figure Joan of Arc. (Often times called Joana D'arc.)

At level 1, Joan of Arc Adora wears a Metal Armor, with chainmail covering most of her body, a visible bun in her armor to hold her hair, and Metal Bands in her arms.

Voidora

Voidora made her first appearance in Bloons TD 6 in Version 32.0. She is the third Hero Skin for Adora in the game, and the 20th Hero skin to be ever released.

Voidora at level 1 is blue with a starry pattern. At level 3 she gains some stripes. At level 7 she becomes dark purple and her irises disappear. At level 14 her hair grows longer. At level 20 tentacles sprout from much of her body.


She-Ra

She-Ra is Adora's fourth skin, and first premium skin both to herself and all Heroes, first released to Bloons TD 6 on Version 48.0, and the ???th Hero skin to be ever released. She-Ra is part of an ongoing collaboration with Mattel for the Masters of the Universe franchise. She costs $12.99 USD as an in-app purchase of the She-Ra pack.

At level 1, She-Ra is dressed in her usual heroic outfit. She has a short white dress adorned with golden adornments, blue crystal, and golden wraparound. her high-heeled boots are bolden. Her crown has small winglets and the crown has a red jewel on the centre that is located down the crown. She-Ra has very long blonde hair that reaches her back. Her eyebrows are light yellow, she has mascara and long eyelashes, and shining glistening blue eyes, and eye shadow on her eyelids.

As she levels up, she gains a variety of changes:

  • Level 3: Longer hair, down to her legs instead of just her back.
  • Level 7: Golden bracelets.
  • Level 10: Longer cape and longer hair that reaches below her feet
  • Level 20, normal: Larger crown winglets and a diamond-shaped middlecrown, with the red jewel unchanged and in the middle of that middlecrown.
  • Level 20, True Goddess: TBA
  • Level 20, Vengeful: TBA

Fateweaver Adora is exclusive to Bloons TD Battles 2, introduced on Version 3.3. She is the first Hero Skin for Adora in that game.

Fateweaver Adora is the chaotic form of Adora, one who seeks to sabotage rather than restore order. In this game, her abilities are unique and her main attacks are relatively unchanged. Instead of a purely defensive focus, Fateweaver Adora focuses on taking advantage of the opponent's weak points.

Valkyrie Adora Skin

Valkyrie Adora Skin changes Adora to a Nordic appearance, stylized as Valkyrie.

Adora Plush was announced on November 22th 2024 on Ninja Kiwi's official blog on Reddit along with Jumbo BAD plush. She is available to purchase from November 28th 2024 to January 28th 2024. She costs $32.99 USD. She is expected to be shipped on May 17th 2025, however she got shipped to houses as early as early April 2025.

  • Adora is the third female hero monkey after Gwendolin and Ezili and is followed by Brickell, Sauda, and Rosalia.
  • Adora's appearance may have been inspired by the main protagonist Adora from She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.
    • Update 48.0 brought an actual She-Ra skin which is a homage her original namesake, further strengthening the connection.
  • Adora and Ezili have many similarities, having similar appearances, 3 abilities, and being released on the same day (12/13) with Adora releasing 1 year after Ezili.

  • Her name and apperance appear to be a reference to Adora/She-Ra from the animated series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.
  • Adora's name is likely a reference to the Latin verb adōrō, meaning "I worship", in reference to her role as High Priestess. It could also reference the Latin imperative adōrā, translating roughly to "worship me", hinting at her eventual ascension to goddesshood.
  • Joan of Arc was a French heroine who fought in the Hundred Years' War.
  • Adora's "Let there be light!" quote is a reference to the Old Testament King James Bible, specifically the first sentence of the verse Genesis 1:3-25 KJV: And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
