Audio
- September: Ek hoor musiek... van vroeg tot laat is released.
- Vamos Fazer Música, Mis Amigos de la Selva and Canciones Favoritas are released.
Digital
- July 11: The launch of the "BarneyLiveTour.com" website.
- September 10: The launch of the official Barney YouTube channel.
- December: Barney's Super-Dee-Duper Fun Day was launched as the first Barney mobile application for the iPhone™ and iPod Touch.
Events
- February 5-7: Barney performs at the Scotch Hall Shopping Centre in Ireland for three shows each day at 1PM, 3PM and 5PM.[1]
- February 18: VEE Corporation announced that it would produce Barney Live in Concert - Birthday Bash!.
- April 9: Barney appears at Festival Centre, Dubai Festival City from 4:30PM-7:30PM for fun and games. The event was sponsored by Toys R Us and HIT Entertainment. The event was originally planned from April 2.[2]
- April 23: Barney appears at the 22nd Annual Children’s Cancer Fund’s Beyond The Rainbow Fashion Show And Luncheon at the Hilton Anatole to walk Jordan Flint down the runway.[3][4][5]
- April/May: Barney Rocks! El Concierto en Vivo! begins performing in Mexico.
- June 19: Barney makes an appearance at M&D's - Strathclyde Theme Park, performing Barney's Open House.
- July 3: Barney Rocks! El Concierto en Vivo! performed at the Complejo Cultural Universitario in Puebla, Mexico.
- July 3-August 8: The Spanish version of Barney's Space Adventures performs in various venues in Argentina.
- July 26-August 10: The Spanish version of Barney's Space Adventures performed at the Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City, Mexico.
- August 28-29: Barney Rocks! El Concierto en Vivo! performed at the Teatro Anayansi in Panama City, Panama.
- September 9-12: The English version of Barney's Space Adventures makes its debut in Singapore at the Singapore Expo Hall 2.
- November 19: Barney Live in Concert - Birthday Bash! begins performing at the Cox Business Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
- December 12: A 45’ tall, Marching Band Barney balloon, made by Dynamic Displays, Ltd, flies in the Paris Parade in Santiago, Chile in South America.[6]

- January 5 - Please & Thank You is released in stores.
- March 2 - Egg-Cellent Adventures is released in stores.
- April 13 - Imagination Island is re-released on DVD in stores.
- May 18 - Let's Play Outside is released in stores.
- May 25 - The DVD 3-pack, On-The-Go Pack! is released to stores. This set includes Barney's Red, Yellow and Blue!, Happy Mad Silly Sad and Barney's Colorful World!.
- June 15 - Barney Songs From the Park is re-released in stores.
- July 27 - Furry Friends is released to stores.
- September 14 - A-Counting We Will Go is released in stores.
- October 12 - Barney's Adventure Bus is re-released on DVD in stores.
- October 26 - The DVD 6-pack, Learning Pack is released in stores. This set includes It's Time for Counting, Let's Play School!, Barney's Rhyme Time Rhythm, Barney's Red, Yellow and Blue!, Barney's Numbers! Numbers!, and Now I Know My ABCs.
- November 9 - Best Fairy Tales is released in stores.
- December 31: According to Nielsen, Barney was the #4 non-theatrical preschool home entertainment brand in the US.[7]
Merchandise
- October 5: HIT Entertainment announced a licensing deal with Russ Berrie Company, granting them the rights to manufacture and market a full line of plush toys based on Barney, and his dino friends BJ, Baby Bop and Riff. The Barney plush toys were announced to be available at all leading mass retailers and specialty retailers in the US starting later in the fall in specialty markets (and then rolling out to all retailers in 2011).[8]

- January 1: Ding-Dong! Where's Barney? is released.
- January: Favorite Things is released.
Television
- February 13: Barney appears on Fox & Friends, alongside Dorothy the Dinosaur from The Wiggles in honor of Sprout's Dino-Mite Valentine's Sing-Along. During the segment, both of them do "The Dino Dance".
- February 14 - Dino-Mite Valentine's Sing-Along begins airing on Sprout.
- Early Spring: Barney & Friends debuts on the HIT Entertainment-branded preschool television block on Albavision in a few countries across Latin America.[9]
- May 3: Season thirteen of Barney & Friends premieres in Latin America.
- October 4 - Season fourteen of Barney & Friends premieres on PBS.
- November 2 - The series finale of Barney & Friends on PBS.
- December 10 - Barney's Christmas Star aired on Sprout. It would later re-air on the channel on December 13, 2011.
- December 24 - Barney's Night Before Christmas aired on Sprout during the Elmo's Movie Merry-thon event. The date this special aired was on Christmas Eve, a day before Christmas.
