Cyclone (サイクロン Saikuron?), also localized as Divine Breath, is an advanced-tier spell in the Tales series. In most of its appearances, it is one of the most powerful Wind-elemental spells obtainable.
Arte Description and History
The arte summons a swirling tornado of winds that engulfs all within its confines. In Tales of Symphonia, Genis Sage learns this spell at Level 50 after having used Air Thrust at least 50 times. The spell involves a twelve-hit tornado of wind that gradually lifts the target higher with each hit, excluding Heavy foes. This spell has a massive effect radius, making it ideal for hitting multiple enemies. Forcystus is a notable user of this spell.
Though Cyclone does not appear as an in-battle arte in Tales of Destiny 2, Igtenos Minarde uses Cyclone when he displays the power of his Swordian to eliminate a portion of the attacking forces at Dycroft. Valkyrie also uses this arte in multiple titles, as a reference to her Cyclone no Jutsu (サイクロンの術?, "Cyclone Spell") in her originating franchise. In Tales of the Rays, this arte is also Dark-elemental and Kongwai Tao's version alters into Over Cyclone when used as the fourth or later action in a chain or during Burst Limits.
