Thanagarians are a race of extraterrestrial hawk-like beings from the planet Thanagar. They are responsible for many technologies ahead of any human time, such as Nth metal, meteors of which impacted the Earth, and were responsible for Hath-Set's, Khufu's, and Chay-Ara's powers.
History
Earth-1
Original timeline
With Earth under the rule of Vandal Savage, the humans drove out the Thanagarians when the race attacked the planet.[1]
Erased timeline
When Vandal Savage did not unite Earth, the Thanagarians destroyed Earth by burning it and its resources to the ground.[1]
Current timeline
In Ancient Egypt, during the time of Khufu and Chay-Ara's first death, Earth and Thanagar became aligned, and a Nth metal meteor shower struck Earth. One such meteor landed in Egypt, giving Hath-Set immortality and Khufu and Chay-Ara the ability to reincarnate. That meteor was eventually passed down to the Nazis, and then collected in 1975 Norway.[2] Another meteor fell in Harmony Falls in 1958, and Savage used it to mutate Tommy Fuller and Jefferson Jackson into Manhawks.[2][3] The final meteor was collected by Savage in 2021 St. Roch; New Orleans, but flown into the sun by Rip Hunter.[2]
After the destruction of the Oculus at the Vanishing Point, the Time Masters were unable to calculate the future of the current timeline, citing the Thanagarian invasion as a possibility that may or may not happen. Due to this change of plans, the Time Masters withdrew their support of Savage's cause.[1]
Earth-12

While defending Oa, the Green Lantern Corps noted that the Thanagarians were known to produce bottles of ale for the universe of Earth-12.[4]

On the planet of Maaldoria, Jo Gunraf tells Kara/Supergirl and Mon-El that he was cooking a "Thanagarian Snare Beast", which is likely a type of animal creature owned by the Thanagarians.[5]
Earth-Prime
The Thanagarians are responsible for technologies such as Nth metal, of which The Hawks'/(Kendra Saunders and Carter Hall)'s Nth metal maces are made of said material, as in the original multiverse.[6]
