Sol, commonly known as the Sun to those who orbited it, is a relatively young yellow star located in the universe of Earth-1. The star was orbited by a number of astronomical bodies, including the planet Earth and its Moon.
History
After the Legends successfully killed Vandal Savage in each time period, a third Nth metal meteor was still set to go off, causing the world to be destroyed. Rip Hunter planned to sacrifice himself by flying the meteor into Sol, destroying the meteor inside the Waverider. He flew it toward the Sol and passed out before waking up and finding the meteor destroyed. The Waverider then had one last time jump, which Rip used to return to 2021 St. Roch and get the rest of the team.[1][2]
