In-Out is the first mini-album by Moonbin & Sanha, a sub-unit of South Korean boy band ASTRO. It was released on September 14, 2020 through Fantagio Music and was distributed by Interpark. Its title track, "Bad Idea", was released alongside a music video on the same day.
The album is available in two versions: the black "Fade Out" version and the white "Fade In" version.[3]
Background
On August 14, 2020, Fantagio confirmed that members Moonbin and Sanha would form ASTRO's first sub-unit, Moonbin & Sanha, and that the recording for the unit's first album had already been completed.[4] The release was announced for September 14, 2020.[5]
On August 21, Fantagio released the first official teaser image on their official Twitter account.[6] A second one followed three days later, announcing the title of the new album, In-Out.[7] On August 26, an official schedule for the time leading up to the album's release was posted on Fantagio Music's official Twitter account.[8] The day after, the tracklist was released as well, revealing that the new mini-album would contain five new songs. It also showed that the comeback would feature a rather dark and solemn concept, as opposed to ASTRO's usual cute concepts.[9]
On August 31, Fantagio began releasing teaser images for the photobook, starting with the "Fade Out" version[10] and soon moving on to the "Fade In" version.[11] They also released special teasers and images of the two members, which were supposed to showcase the characters they would portray for this comeback.[12][13][14][15] On September 7, the highlight medley for the new album was released.[16] A music video teaser followed on September 11.[17][18]
The mini-album was released as scheduled on September 14, 2020.[19]
