Song Review
Sometimes we get caught up in anxious imaginations or the uneasy feeling of dreaming. Because the energy needed to escape such thoughts is more intense than anything else. "Bad Idea", the title track of ASTRO's first unit Moonbin & Sanha, encompasses these feelings and situations with sound and concretely expresses them in the song. This song consists of simple, aggressive drums, bass, and guitar sounds and as much as the instrumental composition is simple, all is expressed by the vocals.
As if riding an emotional roller coaster, it [the song] passes through a tense verse and a dreamy free chorus, where at one point only minimal sound exists, and at this moment, Moonbin & Sanha's voices, which are intensely captivating to both ears, become restrained, yet a strong energy is involved. Like they're managing their pace while doing acrobatics, the two lead actors' enthusiastic performance of "Bad Idea" and is even more intense by the end of the song.[5]
