Rosie is one of the main characters of Angry Birds Mystery Island. She operates as a member of the Egg-splorers, and aids them in their attempts to escape the island they find themselves on. She's the calmest and most level-headed of the group.
Appearance
Rosie is a dark grey hatchling with a light grey face. She has large prussian blue eyes with two eyelashes each, a small yellow beak, and aquamarine feathers which resemble hair on her head. Her feet are purple with two toes. She has a yellow hearing aid shapped like a butterfly under her hair.
Personality
Calm and kind, Rosie is the heart of the group. She tries to look after her groupmates' physical and mental wellbeing[7]. She enjoys meditating, and meditates on the beach as part of her mourning routine[7]. With that said, she is not afraid to let her feelings known when she feels she's being treated unfairly[4]. She especially hates litter, and goes out of her way to try and keep the island clean[2]. Her calm nature can sometimes seemingly override her self-preservation instincts, with varying results[8].

Angry Birds Mystery Island: A Hatchlings Adventure
Go For Launch!
When she, Buddy, and Mia stop to compare homework answers on the way to school, their homework is blown into a junk yard by the wind. Rosie suggests just telling their teachers that the wind ate the homework, but Mia ventures into the trash pit to retrieve their homework, with the other two birds following behind. When the group notice Hamylton with his foot caught, Rosie insists on helping him. Unfortunately, Hamylton was situated on a catapult, and all involved are launched into a purple storm cloud.
When the three birds reunite on an unknown island, Rosie points out that Hamylton landed with them. Hamylton is swiftly shunned by Mia, and the three eventually concoct a plan to build a catapult and escape. After the intervention of Hamylton, the catapult is finished. Rosie opts to test it, and is misfired into a palm tree. She gets a good look at the island, including its' active volcano, and drops back down. She and Hamylton continue to fiddle with the catapult while Mia and Buddy discuss food.
When the group set up camp for the night, they hear a loud noise come from nearby, and begin wondering if there's other creatures on the island. Rosie speculates out loud that it may live in the active volcano she saw, and falls asleep, terrifying the other two birds, who are still awake.
Gim(Mia) Shelter
After waking up, Rosie suggests the group play on the beach to wave down any passing boats. After a while, the group grow tired, and Mia suggests the group build a house. Confident in her abilities after watching house flipping shows, Mia decides that she'll be the designer, while everyone else gathers resources. Rosie becomes increasingly fed up with Mia's management style, culminating in her snapping at Mia when the house they build collapses. Mia sculks off, but Rosie later rejoins her with the others once she starts building the house herself, and the group are able to have a finished building by the next rain storm.
The Egg-splorers
Rosie is the one who discovers an Egg in the brush while the group is collecting cocoanuts. She organizes the group on their trip to find Egg's parents, and is the one to save Buddy from the Hippie Flytrap by singing. She's also the one to suggest the name of "Egg-splorers" as the group name.
The Worm Turns
During breakfast, Rosie angerly points out how much waist the group is leaving on the island, pointing to a comedically large mass of cocoanut shells the group has formed. This gives Mia the idea to build a raft from the shells and escape the island. Rosie insists that they tell people about the island once they return home in order to have the litter on it cleaned. The group also decide to take Egg with them, with Rosie carrying them on her back. The group's escape plan is eventually foiled when they're attacked by Wormzinger.
Phone-y Business
When the group decide to build a message for planes out of trash, and begin picking garbage off the island. Rosie eventually discovers Mia watching SquiwkSquawk on a phone Buddy discovered, and shames her for wasting the escape opportunity of escape. Mia gives her the phone, but Rosie's attention is soon caught by Clam, a meditation app she uses. She spends an hour meditating, and gives the phone to Hamylton once she realizes how much time she's wasted.
Truffled Feathers
Mia's plans to hold a party are briefly halted when she and Hamylton have a cooking competition. Rosie serves as one of the judges alongside Buddy, and becomes intoxicated by the chocolate truffle Hamylton uses in his dish. Mia and Hamylton later have to gather all of the truffles and give them to the Crabs in order to turn Rosie and Buddy back to normal.
On Island Time
After an exciting day, the group discuss what their favorite part of the day was. Mia is discontent with the group's lack of progress towards escaping, and vows to focus on escaping the next day. Rosie gives her a flower, hoping that it will cheer her up. The next day, Rosie gets shut down when she offers to take Mia to see the flower field she discovered. What Rosie and the other Egg-Splorers don't know is that Mia is stuck in a time loop scenario, and is repeating the same day over and over. Mia eventually breaks down, prompting Rosie and the others to take her to the flower field, cheering her up and unknowingly breaking the time loop.
Chums in the Water
While cleaning trash off the beach, Rosie notices a bunch of golden seashells littering the waters. She begins collecting them, following them out into the open sea. She is soon grabbed by Finnie, a giant dolphin-like creature, who begins to play with her. While initially startled, she and Finnie grow fond of each other, Rosie introduces Finnie to the rest of the Egg-Splorers, who are initially suspicious of Finnie, but put their worries aside when they concoct a plan to use her to escape the island.
The plan goes awry when the boat the make gets caught in a storm, and Rosie blames herself for the incident. They're saved by Finnie's mother, who carts the group back to shore. Rosie realizes that her plan would have separated Finnie from her mother, but the others reassure her, saying her plan was as good as any. The group part ways with Finnie and head back to their shelter.
Game appearances
Angry Birds Dream Blast
Rosie (alongside Egg) only appears as a non-playable character in Angry Birds Dream Blast and one of the guest stars in the Island Season special event, as the promotion of Angry Birds Mystery Island.
Relationships
Mia
Rosie and Mia are very close friends, and cooperate well with each other[8]. However, Mia's headstrong attitude can sometimes cause friction between the two. On some occasions, Mia can become tunneled on one specific task and begin neglecting her own wellbeing, to Rosie's dismay[7]. Mia's brash leadership style gets under Rosie's skin just as much, if not more[4]. In spite of this, they're always able to reconcile.
Buddy
While not as close with him as she is with Mia, Rosie is still good friends with Buddy. She's supportive of him, and is patient with him whenever he makes a mistake, being too patient with him in some cases[3].
Hamylton
While she does treat Hamylton with the same respect she treats the other birds, some of his habits can get on her nerves, such as his messy eating and disregard for where he throws his trash[2].
Egg
Rosie is the closest to Egg in the group, and cares for him dearly[3]. She initially discovered Egg, and takes him with her during mourning yoga. She made a sling for Egg, and commonly makes him costumes, seats, and other protection if the group plans on traveling[2].
Finnie
Despite being initially startled by Finnie upon meeting, Rosie enjoys Finnie's company greatly. When Finnie tries to help them cross the ocean and return home, Rosie becomes remorseful for enlisting her, especially when she finds out Finnie has a mother. Rosie holds her and Finnie's friendship in high regard, and even includes Finnie in the initials she carves into a tree<ref name="Chums in the Water">.
