Rose is a woman who lives on Outset Island. She is the wife of Abe and the mother of Joel and Zill. She loves her pet Pigs, but still considers them potential food. One of her Pigs, named Link after its captor, grew very large while he was away. Rose has a bad habit of laughing her way out of lies. She requests that Link gather up the various Pigs on Outset Island into a Pig pen, giving away Rupees if the young hero completes the task. After returning to Outset Island later on, when asked about the whereabouts of the other pigs, she claims they had run away during the Endless Night, but her laughter afterwards and Zill's comment on something being delicious heavily implied she had ultimately killed them for food purposes.
