Kima

Kima is a character in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.[2]

Biography

Kima can be found at the Southern Mine in Eldin. He wears a Flamebreaker Helm over his head to protect himself from the Scorching Climate. He spends his days searching near the edges of the Mine.[3]

When Link first speaks to him, Kima remarks that that he appeared at the perfect time.[4] He admits that he has just returned from Goron City, but he forgot to bring any souvenirs for the trip.[5] While he wants to catch some Fireproof Lizards to bring back, hw has been having trouble due to their speed.[6] Judging that Link appears quick, Kima asks if he could bring him 10 Fireproof Lizards in exchange for a piece of Fireproof Armor.[7] If Link refuses to help him, Kima resolves to try harder, even though he has bad knees.[8] If Link agrees, Kima informs him that he may be able to find the Lizards around the Southern Mine.[9] After he finishes speaking, the "Fireproof Lizard Roundup" Side Quest will begin.

Once Link has gathered enough Fireproof Lizards, he can return to Kima to trade them.[10] When Link agrees to give them to Kima, he will be given Flamebreaker Armor as a reward.[11] Noticing Link's apparent disappointment, Kima realizes that he was expected his Flamebreaker Helm instead, and he explains that he can buy his own in Goron City.[12] He directs Link north, which is where he can find Goron City.[13]

Kima remarks that it is useful to have extra souvenirs on hand.[14] If Link has more Fireproof Lizards, Kima offers to buy three of them for 20 Rupees.[15] With both Fireproof Lizards and Monster Parts, Kima states that he will be able to make Fireproof Elixirs.[16] When he finishes speaking, the Side Quest will end.

Link can return to the Southern Mine to sell Fireproof Lizards to Kima.[17] If Link agrees to sell to him, Kima will give him a Red Rupee in return.[18] He then informs Link that he can make Fireproof Elixirs by Cooking Fireproof Lizards and Monster Parts together.[19] If Link refuses to sell, Kima will be disappointed, but he tells Link to come back if he changes his mind.[20]
