Donkeys are used as pack animals for traveling merchants in Breath of the Wild. They can be found on the road with certain travelers or resting at Stable found throughout Hyrule Kingdom. Donkeys will always follow the merchant they're traveling with.
According to the traveling merchant Cambo, the scientific name for Donkeys is equus donkus.[2]
