Not to be confused with Malon, a similarly designed character from Ocarina of Time. Cremia is a character in Majora's Mask and the Terminan adult counterpart of Malon.[3]
Biography
Cremia is the look-alike older sister of Romani. She manages Romani Ranch in place of her deceased father. She is a close friend of the Stock Pot Inn keeper, Anju,[4] and it is revealed by Romani that she has a crush on Kafei, Anju's fiancée.[5][6] She treats Romani like a child, a fact that annoys her younger sister. Since the death of her father, however, everything seems to have been going wrong for Cremia around the Ranch, likely due to the Gorman Brothers, who has a rival business of producing Milk (though Cremia's quality is far superior).[2] Cremia is known to be a kindhearted and caring older sister, and is almost constantly working, trying to provide for herself and Romani. Despite this, she does not believe Romani about the Ghosts.[7]
If Link helped Romani save the Cows from the Ghosts, Cremia will invite the young Hero of Time to accompany her on the ride to deliver the Milk to the Milk Bar in the night of the Second Day, and claims to be lonely, as she welcomes company. As the Gorman Brothers have blocked Milk Road, they ride down the Gorman Track instead. As the Brothers intend to steal the Milk, Link must prevent them from doing so. After they deliver the Milk, Cremia will reward Link with Romani's Mask.[8] If the quest is completed again after obtaining the Mask, Cremia gives Link either a Gold Rupee or an heartwarming hug (something very hardly seen in the franchise).[9] The decision amounts to a random choice with a 50/50 probability for either outcome.[10]
Even though some of the citizens of Clock Town take refuge at Romani Ranch on the night of the Final Day, Cremia reveals that she knows even they are not safe from the Moon in the Ranch (as with the rest of Termina), and sadly accepts the fate that awaits all of the residents.[11] Knowing that they likely will not survive, Cremia grants her younger sister, who does not know of the fate that will befall them, the wish to drink Chateau Romani for the first time, something she had been denying Romani since she was not an adult yet.[12] Furthermore, she acknowledges Romani as an adult and even promises to make her a Mask to officially signify her younger sister's status as a grown-up.[13] Before heading back to their home, Cremia asks her sister to sleep with her in her Bed, to which Romani agrees.[14]
During the ending sequence, Cremia can be seen cheering on her younger sister, who is practicing her Hero's Bow. Cremia is later seen witnessing Anju's wedding with Kafei.

Trivia
- There is a typo in the original Nintendo 64 version of Majora's Mask when Cremia gives Link a hug.[15]
- In the demo version Majora's Mask, when Link shows Kafei's Mask to Cremia, she mentions Madame Aroma is her aunt.[16] This would have made her cousins with her crush, Kafei.[5] The final release has Cremia refer to "some middle-aged woman" instead,[17] albeit in a context where "some middle-aged woman" could not possibly be taken to mean anyone other than Madame Aroma.
- The change was likely made in order to fix a mistranslation. In Japan, as well as other East Asian cultures, the word for "aunt" can be used to refer to any middle-aged woman even if they are not related to the speaker.
- If Link fails to prevent the Ghosts from abducting Romani and their Cows in the First Day, Cremia will become heartbroken, due to not only her business being destroyed from the loss of her specially-bred Cows but also her younger sister being in an unhealthy, disoriented state, along with regret for not listening to her about the dangerous spirits.
- Like her Hyrulean counterpart Malon (as well as Talon), Cremia as well as her sister Romani wear Bowser brooches, whose character is the main antagonist of the Mario franchise.
- Cremia is the only character to outright give Link a display of affection in The Legend of Zelda series other than Princess Zelda.
- Cremia's heartwarming hug towards Link in Majora's Mask, surprisingly, was not originally planned for the game. According to Yoshiaki Kolzumi, he stated that it was actually made out of an animation mistake during development. When Link's position was being set up, his face was too close and lodged into Cremia. But instead of removing it, the team immediately decided to fix the error and left it in the final game, saying this would have been every boys' dream, including himself.
- As genuine affection are extremely rare in the franchise (or Nintendo games in general), Cremia's hug for Link is the second instance since The Adventure of Link where the main protagonist is embraced. Another would not appear again until Spirit Tracks where he is holding hands with Zelda (though the princess can be seen giving a him kiss on his cheek at the ending of the linked Oracle game).
- Cremia's hug could also possibly be a reference to Malon being one of the Hero of Time's several love interests, alongside Princess Zelda, Princess Ruto, and Saria.
- Though the Triforce itself is not worshiped in Termina, Cremia has a belt buckle with an emblem of the golden relic in the center, due to her model being reused from adult Malon from Ocarina of Time.
- Romani and Cremia were set to appear in the Majora's Mask manga by Akira Himekawa but were cut as she could not fit them in the story. This omission is acknowledged in a side note at the end of the M Mollymanga.[18]
